I get these messages so often that if I believed them then I could be a multi-millionaire. If you look further into this though, they are wanting you to sign up for a bunch of junk that will in turn make you sign up for more junk. In the end, you get nothing out of the offer except Carpal tunnel syndrome from doing all the typing to fill in the junk offers and come out with nothing.
I also find it humorous when you sign up for an e-newsletter you get an email that says congratulations. Why get congratulated about email- there is nothing to be excited about. It is not as if you won the lottery for real.

Yes the only thing it does it captures our information to use it for marketing purposes. They continue to ring bells and whistles promising to give millions but not sure anyone has ever received a dime. I use to do GPT sites and OMG, my additional email addresses were so full of loads and loads of junk mail specifically from these types of offers. I was going over some of my old email address I use to use for the GPT site and oh my the walmart ones are still waiting for me to complete the so called winnings.

People are getting very aggressive with this type of marketing. I have some history to clear in that way as well.

I was desperate enough to do one of these when my washer broke because the pipelines on it froze several years ago. I never did get the promised washing machine from this "promotion." and I don't think I ever will.

Hi, lindaharding627. I know what you are talking about! I wished that sites like these that actually claim to give out any prizes, would not even be online at all. It just takes too much of our time and we never really win anything at all. I just don't understand why should a consumer go through so many loops and channels just to receive a reward, that they may not get anyway?

Hello, lindaharding.
This kind of thing is so old, I don't know why does it still exists. CONGRATULATIONS, YOU HAVE WON MILLIONS OF DOLLARS. Why send e-mails like that? It could work before. But nowadays, I believe it has the reverse effect. A company that sends me an e-mail like that will be double checked, I will feel like I cannot trust it.
Yes, it is indeed funny, specially when you get one of two of those in a while. Now, getting them everyday annoys me. Too sad they keep sending these offers. I believe they could work into something new, something that would be accepted as an offer, something unusual.
I guess if you win the lottery you will not receive such a warm CONGRATULATIONS as they send in these e-mails.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

It gives you the feeling of "yeah sure" and you end up sending it to spam. Just like I have been chosen for Publishers clearing house sweepstakes I don't know how many times and I will never win it.

My husband keeps getting spam messages to his cell phone. He doesn't know why. So far, I am just getting them in emails and not on my phone. As the American saying goes- knock on wood- I don't want them on my cell phone.

I also received such scam emails. These emails are said from FEDEX and other big courier.. but when I send an inquiry in their website and they said it was a scam.Nowadays there are so many things that would try to deceive people. So bad!
On the other way around, saying " congratulations!" instead of saying "thank you" when someone get subscription from a website somewhat like enticing or a marketing strategy..

I have had something come from FedEx and it tricks some people into thinking that it is legitimate. We knew someone who went to jail because he cashed one of these checks and spent the money. They got him for grand theft.

I've received this $1000 Wal-Mart card a million times myself. It really annoys me. I tried it once because I didn't know what it was. I had surgery after that for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I will never make that mistake again. They do the same thing with JC Penneys, Gas, etc. Just about anything you can think of. Some of those offers ask for your cell# to confirm the offer. If you actually give it to them, you start getting texts and then you are charged for every text. Quite the scam if you ask me.
Awe yes, the illustrious auto-responder. When they came up with that idea, we all started getting floods of e-mails. Regarding more useless information. Sign-up for your weekly e-newsletter so we can send you more useless information. Of course they all say it's useful information but we find out later for the most part it's just junk from a stranger claiming to be your friend and help you make millions. The only one getting rich on the deal is Hmmm, them. Best Wishes!

Yes they all want you in their downlines and if you pay 25 dollars you will have people placed in downlines under you so they claim.

I hate those big email scams they are so full of garbage and lies. It is just to get your info and try and sell you something. I know someone who filled out all that stuff and jumped through all the dumb offers page after page. She sat for 45 minutes then got nothing. The next day Walmart called her with not a $1000 gift card but $50 gift card if she would send them $90 to join some program for incentives to earn more rewards. What happned to the $1000 gift card. That is just a hook to get you to do what they want to get your info so they can have telemarketers call and harass you and if your on the do not call list they have your info you filled out on line giving them permission to harass you. SCAM SCAM SCAM. My friend had a terrible time getting rid of them. Never ever got an gift card. I told her to call consumer affairs which she finally did and found it was just a ruse and a pack of lies and it is not even through Walmart. So beware of any too good to be true email schemes they are just phishing expeditions.
