Shall a son be punished for his father's sin's or a father for his son's sin?In Ezekiel 18:1-4-then the LORD'S message came to me again," why do people use this proverbs about the land of Israel:The children are punished for their fathers sin ? as I live, say's the LORD GOD,you will not use this proverbs anymore in Israel, for all souls are mine to judge-father's and son's alike-and my rule is this :It is for man's own sin's that he will die.And in Ezekiel 18:19-22- What ? you ask.Doesn't the son pay for his father's sin's ?NO !For if the son does what is right and keep's my law's he shall surely live. The one who sin's is the one who dies. The son shall not be punished for his fathers sin nor the father for the son's sin.The righteous person will be rewarded for his own goodness and wicked person for his own wickedness. But if a wicked person turns away from his sin's and begin's to obey my law's and do what is just and right he shall surely live and not die.All his past sin's will be forgotten and he shall live because of his goodness.Everyone will only reap the consequences of his own deed's.
