Its so called Korean Global Invasion. Wherein it seems if there was a chinatown now a new community of Korean Nationals creating koreantowns here and there. If there are many Koreans coming to Manila to study and stay, how about Filipinos go to South Korea to see whats like living there a three (3) days or more. I went to Seoul last Holy week from Holy Thurs to Easter Sunday. it was also Cherry Blossom week which was nice to see white foliage accross the parks and gardens. It was tolerable cold temperature nice to stroll to nice tourist spots. Many thinks it was so expensive to go to Seoul but its not. I spend US$350 all in, airfare, accomodation and pocket money for 4days around Seoul. All u need is a city subway map side-by-side with tourist maps and you enjoy Seoul. Its comparable going to Bangkok, HongKong and Singapore on a budget travel. We are returning again this August now I bring along a group of friends to tour them around

Wow! I've never been to Korea before. And from what you've described, I think I'm wanting to go to Korea now. I've only been to Hong Kong and I can say that it was a wonderful experience. What are the sights that you would recommend in case I go to Korea?

There so many nice places in Seoul Korea
Myeong Dong is a dream shopping area for women. Each brand has its own 2storey building. There are also 5storey shopping mall like Greenhills but take note 4storey for Women clothing and for Men on the top most floor. Men's Fashion Clothing are quite exquisite and trendy fitted for the male model lean muscular figures.
Dongdaemun is like Divisoria but its 24hrs open for shopping
Honggik is the university belt of Seoul wherein so many nice restaurants thats comes alive at night as well as Tiangge Stores for nice budget fashinable clothings for students
Buckchon is like an Intramuros wherein its an old city with historical old houses and streets then after walking around you can dine in nice restaurants or just coffee
Take note: Korean are coffee lovers thus in one area there are so many coffee shops that you'll see Starbucks and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf from one corner to another
Seoul Tower is the best view of the city. It was part of the Koreanovelas wherein you'll see pad locks left by lovers to symbolized two hearts locked together.
Changdeokgung Palace witness the changing of giant palace guards
Lotte World is the Korean version of Disneyland
Yeouido Park is the best place to go for Cherry Blossom during the first 2weeks of April which is normally start of Spring
lastly the Seoul Olympic Park
another note: Incheon Airport has an ice skating rink ...which is quite a bit odd to have in an airport c",)

that's so nice Philippe! I have only gone to Malaysia and was not able to tour properly. My next aim is Singapore then I plan to bring my parents to Thailand but would it be better to go to Korea instead?
The Singapore trip will definitely push through but if Korea is a better choice I'd rather bring my folks there rather than Thailand.

How come u have got a nice tour of Msia...there are nice places in Msia like KLCC, Batu Cave, Genting Highlands, Jonker Streets in Melaka, Cameron Highlands...I have back and forth Msia for quite some times...so easy to go around
for Singapore, the are not much tourist attraction. As of now what is hot is theUniversal Studios..technique is go in in SG and the get a coach bus to Msia 5hrs travel and then exit back to Mla
for Bangkok, am there twice a year. My last one was during Songkran last April. Its the Buddhist New celebration wherein the throw water on the street and put chalk powder on your face. On a regular day in Bangkok, shopping is the most common activity in Pratunam aside from temple visits.
Filipinos yearn to experience snow thus Korea is the best place to go. Why? First, the VISA processing is FREE provided you submit all necessary document requirements. As of the moment its much safer compared to Japan. Filipinos love Koreanovelas and it wud nice to see first hand where the places in scenes of the TV Series were taken. Agree? c",)
