So, here's the thing. My boyfriend and his partner (and me) are trying to build up a website to sell vinyl art. I know, it's not a very revolutionary idea, but at least it's low cost startup.
Right now, the only problem we're facing is finding a nice catchy name for the site. Can you help me out?

I didn't know what you were talking about until i saw what vinyl art was. It's amazing! paint a wall and then add a contrasting piece to make an interesting affect. You want to attract people who design on a dime because this is a inexpensive way to revamp a room. I think something like maybe
"home fashion vinyl"
"room tattoos"
"stuck up right"
"vinyl swagger"
Something that has a new twist to the idea that you plan to use.
By the way, good luck to you!!!

I'm glad to see you learnt a new thing today, Samantha!
I also loved "room tatoos" and "home fashion vinyl" for I don't think here in Argentina most people would understand the other two. But you're right, I'm trying to attract people who love design products and can't afford them most of the time.
thank you so much for your help!!

lol :) I like kind of the vinyl swagger. That's a term we use in the united states which is kind of slang for "good stuff" good luck and I hope it's a billion dollar name!

well, that's great Samantha, although probably nobody will understand it here, it's a good name with good karma on it. I'll talk to my partner about it and see if he likes it!

Either choose a "does what it says on the tin" name, like vinylart, or go for the branding approach and choose something memorable. A neat trick is to list five or six, draw up simple logos for them and send them to a group of friends. Don't tell them what it's about - just say you've been doodling or something. Then, a week later, ask them which one(s) they remember.

Hi Spike The Lobster!
I tried the "does what it says on the tin" name (by the way, I just loved that expression!) but the problem is they were all taken, at least the obvious ones, like vinylart, vinyl-art, etcetera.
I'll take your advice on the friends' thing. Considering that most of my friends are architects and designers, I should do quite well, I think.
Thakn you so much for posting, and I'll let you know when I finally have it!

Thank you for checking, that shows you really care about my name search.
Too bad it's taken, because it sounded good.
