I have problems sleeping at night. I have been put on a sleeping pill which helps.
Sometimes I think I don't need it cause I will feel very sleepy and think I can fall asleep.
While I will go to like a light sleep unless I take this pill I never do sleep. just more like a broken sleep.
I did this last night. Finally at 5am I took the pill. Then it messes with my day and all I am supposed to get finished.
I feel then like I can't get everything done like I am supposed to because my health is all wired wrong and then I have to rush just to get errands done, cooking started for dinner, and before I can enjoy a part of the day its turning bedtime again.
I think I have finally learned my lesson and just take my sleeping pill so I will not have a second thought that maybe I could sleep without it.
does this happen to others that take sleeping pills that are a prescription? Not over the counter sleep aids.

Have you really ever discussed this with your doctor to make sure there is not more of an underlying issue with this causing your sleep patterns to be like this? Maybe you just need to try adding more Vitamins to your diet and try eating foods that will tire you more. But I know there are times that sleep is harder to come by for me and I have to wait until I get so exhausted I almost pass out. But mine is caused from Fibromyalga and other Health problems as well.

i have problems with my sleeping too. i work at night and sleeping at daytime is the hardest part of my day i guess.. i tried sleeping pills and anything to eat that can help but it really wont work in my case.
but sleeping 6-8 hrs for me is ok, i usually have it that long but the span sleeping hours that would really make me feel ok is 9-11hrs. it can makes my brain works all night.

I do not take sleeping pills, but I take pain pills and they make me sleep. Some nights I think I don't need one and then can't sleep and get up and take it and then like you the next day is all messed up. I get up later than I wanted to and don't get the things done that I wanted to do.

yea its bad enough I have to take flexeril and neurontin and those make me dopey and sleepy. But not enough to sleep all night so I have to take this stupid sleeping pill.
Sure helps to know others understand what I am going through!
Thanks.

I too had sleeping problems at the past. I never got to the point wherein I had to take medications for it though. I just exhaust myself with a lot of activities, on-line activities that is, to tire me.
When I had huge concerns at work: deadlines not met, trouble with co-worker, etc, I often had sleeping problems. Gratefully though, i've learned to deal with it by channeling my thoughts to other fruitful endeavors.

Sleeping is very important for us because It give us more energy in everything that we do in our day to day activities in life and we can think well If we had enough sleep.I usually take B complex to help me to have a good night sleep. It really gives me a fresh mind every time I wake up and always ready for the days challenges.:)

I should be on sleeping pills as I am a night owl, but I worry that if I take them I just won't get up. I don't mean go in a comma or die, I mean that I would not get up on time. But I stress that I have not enough to sleep and then I don't sleep well. I think if you try to go to bed when your stressed and worked up or worrying you don't sleep well because you want to resolve the issue.
Hope that helps
