I'm so tired of dinner. I don't know why, but nothing seems to sound good to me anymore. I'm a bit picky with what I eat, and I make everything rather than order out so I'm a bit limited. For the past couple weeks, I dread dinner. I just eat a small healthy meal (whole grain pasta, veggies, etc) and be done with it. I do LOVE my dessert! I don't eat a lot, but I look forward to that after the meal - I have to get rid of the dinner taste! lol
I'd love to hear what others do for dinner; what meals do you enjoy?? I don't eat red meat - only chicken, fish or turkey. But maybe you can give me some ideas! I'd sooo appreciate it!

I am also a picky eater. Since you have a garden why dont you have a fresh vegtable salad with homemade dressing consisting of. 2 cups of extra virgin olive oil,1 cup of cider vinegar,2 tablespoons of salt,1 cup honey. Mix it up and dress the veggies(I like to add peanuts in my salad, and unpeeled sunflower seeds this is optional) Try marinating your fish in a little teriyaki sauce or soy for an hour then bake for 15 or 20 minutes depending on the size of the fish that is.

I love salads but I can't seem to find any good dressing anymore. They all taste so... processed to me. Your dressing mix sounds interesting! Honey, really? What kind of taste does that have? I'm not a fan of olive oil or vinegar unless it's a subtle taste. I'm tempted to try that though, just a little bit to see if I'd like it. I don't like peanuts or sunflower seeds either. I told you I'm picky! lol
Hm, your fish marinating idea sounds good. I don't normally (or ever) marinate fish.
Thanks for the ideas!

I hear ya! I've had the same meals for so long now, that none of them sound good anymore! Spaghetti even bores me now! (I gave up pizza by middle school and still don't like it anymore.)
Thanks for the reply.

I am not a vegetarian, but I very much like eating vegetables. When I go to restaurants which serve buffet lunches and dinners, my plate is always more than half full of veggies. Dessert ! Oh, yes ! I am a real dessert addict. Ice cream, puddings, cakes, fruits ! I am pretty much addicte to chocolate too !

I'm the same way. I'm not a vegetarian but I do love veggies, especially from my own garden! Most veggies are fine raw, but a few of them I do prefer cooked (like broccoli). I don't like to mess with them either, I'd never add butter to them like a lot of people in my family do! I do not understand why anyone would ruin corn on the cob with butter! Ick!

I probably can't help you much. Although I am a picky eater about the foods I will eat, I am less picky about how they are prepared. I mostly go with what is quick and easy. For dinner I usually have canned salmon mixed up like tuna salad except I fix it plain, just salmon and light Miracle Whip, or a Lean Cuisine frozen dinner. When I have the salmon, I have two kinds of canned vegetables with it. Just about the only fresh vegetable I have is steamed broccoli which I fix on Sunday for dinner and then use the excess that I purposely have in with my canned green beans and tomato sauce that I have for lunch on weekdays with the sandwich I have. Once in a great while I will bake boneless skinless chicken to have for dinner.

I like quick and easy but I also don't mind an occasional meal that takes time and energy to prepare. It's all about the results! I actually have some canned salmon in my pantry I haven't eaten yet - maybe tonight's dinner!? Adding veggies sound good, though I don't eat canned vegetables much. What do you like to have with the chicken?

Breakfast is probably my favorite of the three meals. I love (loooooove!!) oatmeal but in the summer, the weather is too hot for a hot breakfast so I eat cereal. I'm not loving it as much as I used to though, I just crave oatmeal! Dinner is supposed to be the smallest of the meals, but I still wish I looked forward to it. But I don't anymore.

Hi grobanite!
Well, dinner isnt an important meal of the day though, soup for dinner is fine.
There is a saying that says " Eat breakfast like a King, eat lunch like a Prince and eat dinner like a popper!" Dinner is not as important as breakfast. At night your body will be resting and won't be using much energy to work, so it's okey if you are so tired to make dinner yourself. Just keep yourself well hydrated and all is going to be just fine. Be healthy!

I know dinner is not the most important meal of the day, but I'd like to at least enjoy it, ya know? I have heard sayings like that. It's odd how most people make dinner the biggest and most important meal of the day when it's supposed to be the opposite of that.
