Would you go to Las Vegas if you have free rooms?

A common theme in marketing is to offer free rooms for the holder of the loyalty card program.
I have enjoyed several vacations in Genting Highland, since it has given me many free rooms.
I seldom stay in the casino, so my loss is often far lower than the established room rate.
For instance, my loss for three days probably add up to a hundred dollars or less, but the free room for two nights is valued at five hundred dollars.
I heard that the casinos in Las Vegas are going all out to give out free rooms and free meals.
Would you go to Las Vegas or other casino cities if you have free rooms?

America is very far from my country. So i will take into a long consideration whether to fly there or not, if only they provide free rooms. If they can provide a discounted rate for flying there, include with the free room, of course i will fly there for a spin. Besides that, it is indeed feeling wonderful, if we are able to visit this high class casino. But i think i won't be interested to spend much money into gambling in here.

I don't think the Genting management will consider to buy over a casino chain in there, since they had been earning very well from their own casino and the theme park. Yes, need to think wisely as not every one will be very lucky to come out as a rich person from the Las Vegas... Happy posting...

Hi Myfb, you underestimate the expansion plan of Genting management.
They have a casino in New York already, and they had bought the UK casino chain a few years ago, think it is known as Rival or something.
That Rival casino in UK used to park under Singapore Genting management, so those managers used to write off the goodwill, and turn a whole year profits into loss.
The Singapore Genting has sold the UK casino back to parent company in Malaysia.
It is not too far stretch to think of Genting buying those smaller casino chains in Las Vegas.
They have a ready base of VIP players to fly over there.

Hi Myfb, not much chance of getting a free room plus discounted airfare.
I think we can ask Genting management to buy over a casino chain there, and then we can transfer our points over to redeem free rooms and free meals there.
Other than that, I do not see how we can go there, and still have much money to earn the comps needed for freebies.
I think we would return much poorer unless we are very lucky.

Hi Matt69AC, I would definitely go if I have free plane ride and free hotel rooms.
I think that is asking a bit too much, since the international flight from my place to Las Vegas costs more than a thousand dollars.
I have never been to any part of United States too.
I think the flight to Las Vegas would take closer to twenty hours even if the flight is direct.
If there is just free hotel rooms for two nights, that is not enough to entice me to travel all the way there.

Do count me in there in future, if casinos of Las Vegas is giving free plane ride and free hotel rooms. I won't want to miss this opportunity to visit Las Vegas, once in a life time chance. But, i doubt if they are able to spend so much money flying Asian members into their casinos compounds.

My husband and I love going to Las Vegas. We have never been able to go on their dime though. I think if they paid for our room and meals, we would go a lot more often. I also agree with MATT69AC. I just hope they are servicing free drinks on that flight. Best Wishes!

Hi SSwallace, I think you and your husband are very good at managing your finance, and still enjoy life.
Some people are so greedy and so eager to win that they get into debt every time they enter casino.
Actually it is not hard to get free rooms at any casino.
The trick is to focus at one place, until you have enough comps to redeem room and meals.
Once you have enough comps, the surprising thing is that the management will keep you on the mailing list for a year or so.
They will keep on sending out freebies, and entice you to go down for the weekend.
Once you go there, you just have to play a while, to show that you are their loyal supporter, and then you can go off.

Hi Investor211, spending 1500 dollars for a three days trip is indeed very expensive.
I have made use of free rooms from the casino near my house, but never lose more than two hundred dollars (in the currency of that country).
That is why I always enjoy the trip very well.
I am paying far less in value to the casino than what I am getting.
The best thing is that my free rooms are better rooms, instead of the standard cheap rooms for most people.

I think that I would have to say yes. The free rooms could take a big chunk out of a mini vacation price. While this has never been an option for me I love Vegas and go anyways.

Hi Omarfw, nearly all casino cities are money sucker.
While they give you free rooms, they expect you to pay back a few times more than the published room rates.
I have my fair share of free rooms from a casino in the neighboring country.
Fortunately I do not play much, even though I will spin a few minutes every day, just to keep my name in their mailing list.

Well, many times they have to do this anymore just to keep people wanting to come back there as with the rough economy they have to do something for people to continue to want to come there. Vegas is an exciting city, but even if they offered me a Free room they would Loose out as I am not much of a gambler. But to see the sites again would be nice. I was to Atlantic City once and had a Free room a friend had for us in the Trump tower, and I live Vegas way more.

Hi KrauseHome, yes, I share the same thought.
I like to make use of free hotel stay, but I pay back very little.
I think if more people are like me, the company will suffer even more.
At least they do not have to employ people to clean the rooms!
With persons like us, the company has to fork out value of a few hundred dollars, and gain so little in return.
I think we are in the minority.
Some people end up paying ten times more in value!

I would defenatly go to Vegas if the room was free! I went once but I stayed with my mother because she lived there at the time, I really had a good time. The free shows were amazing and we also got free meals and other goodies while I was there.

Hi Ladybug, wow, how did you get the free meals and other goodies?
I think if the casino is offering free rooms for two or three nights, and free meals and drinks, that will be very nice.
I do not know if you have signed up the membership at many casinos there.
If you have, you might have a chance at free stay in the month of your birthday.

i won't just go if I only have free rooms, i need plane ticket too! It would be great if two are available and it's good for two so, me and my boyfriend could go and have the party all night! that's awesome :)

Hi Nurseclare, I will not go if I just have free rooms for two nights stay.
The international flight from my place there takes about twenty hours, and the airfare alone costs more than a thousand dollars.
Two night free stay is not even to entice me there.
If I have one week free stay, then I might consider going.
I think if you have free room stay, and your boyfriend has the same deal or free buffet meals, then that will save cost for both of you.
