I have just heard that Finn, Kurt and Rachel will all be leaving Glee at the end of season 4 and will not be around at all for season 4. Apparently they are leaving to maintain reality - the charcters are graduating from school. I really hate it when characters have to leave shows - you build up relationships with characters and that is what makes the series a success. I wonder if Glee will still be so popular with 3 of its main characters gone? I'm not sure if I will keep watching the show - we will have to see what new story lines and characters are being introduced. How do you feel when tv shows lose some of their main characters? Do you keep watching the show or do you find that it changes things too much?

You're lucky you're only watching season 1 - then you still have so much to watch!! Its such a great show, you have a lot to look forward to! Yes, I hope that they bring in new characters that are so fantastic that we just have to keep watching..

Is this confirmed? That is so sad. I really love it when a show is consistent with its characters until the end. It really bugs me when I see other actors/actresses replace existing characters. It's just that we're so used to seeing the original characters, and it would really feel weird not having to see them anymore. Like in One Tree Hill, it was so weird not seeing Peyton and Lucas in the latter seasons. It felt like I was watching a completely different show! I hope TV shows will be more consistent with its characters. If they have to change/remove/add characters, then please make a whole new TV show.

Yes, it has been definitely confirmed. I know exactly what you mean - I also stopped watching One Tree Hill after Peyton and Lucas left. There was no point any more!!

I love Glee, and I have to say that those three are the main characters who I am enjoying watching. The thing is though, surely if those three are leaving, the rest of them should be as well, seeing as they're all supposed to be in the same year at school and whenever there are scenes of them in class, they are all shown in the same lessons. I think they have to be really careful about changing too much at once. I heard that Sam is not returning either, and I am gutted about that because I really wanted to see what was going on between him and Mercedes.

Yes, that's exactly how I feel as well - if they are really planning on trying to make it realistic then it should be ALL the characters leaving. Its silly because tv (unless its reality tv!) is not supposed to be realistic - its all about entertainment for us, and I also think that if they suddenly drop their whole cast and bring in all new people, they are going to be in trouble - viewers watch shows because of the characters they love!

Their characters will surely be missed by fans. I just hope that the remaining casts can keep up and it will be really interesting if they add new characters that will keep us from watching the show.

OH! This is a sad news for me. I love those character and I want them to stay in Glee forever! But i guess the producer and the director know better. I will just miss them!
You are right, sometimes we just get so connected with those character that we wanted to see them forever and it's difficult to let them go.

I know! I was also quite shocked when I heard that they were leaving - they are such main characters as well, thats what the problem is. The feeling of the show will be completely different without them! Oh well, maybe as you say the directors know better and they are going to blow us away with their new cast or something.. Let's hope so!
