How do you deal with stress

Stress seems to be a problem that all of us face at some time or the other in our lives. What exactly causes this stress and how do you deal with it? First of all what can we do to avoid it.

Hi Mayka! Stress is caused by too much worry. We keep worrying about different matters, which actually do not turn into reality. We worry about imaginary situations and 75% of them remain only in our imagination. We should not worry about those things which are beyond us and live our life day by day.

Hello mayka123, Today we have made our life style such that we always feel stressed out. There are many things due to which stress mount on our head like excessive work load at work place,not having enough money to fulfill our demands. But most of the time when i don't get what i had thought off stresses me. To relieve stress i normally watch TV,sleep,listen music, talk to my parents/wife ,play with my kids or go out for brisk walk.You can also try out these when you feel stress is tolling up on your head.

Stress is a part of life and no human being can avoid stress in his daily activities.I am no better and since the last 3 years there have been nuerous incidents which could have affected me mentally and given me hypertension.However i have dealt with them very calmly and not got hypertensed.In fact i have taken things ver coolly and in my stride.I lost a lot of money and am almost a pauper now with huge expenses.But i am still unfazed.Anybody else would have gone off the rocker but not me.Why? The reason is that i have been doing Yogic Pranayam or breathing techniques and meditation since the last 20 odd years and this has given me a lot of mental strength and calmness which has helped me to avoid all sorts of stress.I am also permanently disabled and on a wheelchair for the rest of my life but instead of making me amental wreck i have become even more stronger and now can face any situation in life with detachment and tranquillity.

hi mayka, do you rember me....chk out your old scraps...u can make out stress, i agree its the nightmare for all of us...love the things whatever u do make it as a passion, strech keeps you stress...but strengthens your weakness and will make you great.

Hi mayka, one way to avoid stress is not to entertain it. We must always surround ourselves with happiness, contentment in what we have, and a high aim of reaching for bigger things. We often stress out when we can't get what we need to do. In times like this though, we need to let go. And simply move on.

We have a lot of stress in our lives, but most of it comes from money problems. My husbands hours got cut in half, and we were barely making it when he got full time. So we've had to cut off our tv, get on foodstamps, and our landlord isn't getting but half of what he used to. I've tried getting a job to help, but with child care and gas, I wouldn't bring home more than $50 a week. So I spend my free time earning money online, it helps me to know that I'm helping some sort of way. I also do a lot of yardwork for us and our landlord. It helps take money off rent and I find it stress relieving working, painting, building fences, cutting grass, and gardening.

Personally I think until a person can fully learn to rely and put their who Trust in God there is no way you will not have Stress or Stressors in your life that will bother you. A lot of the time for me when I have issues going on that are stressing me, I usually will Pray more and seek God for answers. I even many times will read the Bible more and believe God for something better. It may not always come as quick as I would like, but it helps to know that something greater is in control.

From time to time, we all go through ups and downs in our lives. Very stressful some times indeed. Even on normal days, after a long day at work we feel the stresses. One of my favorite ways of getting rid of the stresses, I would listen to my favorite music after I get back home. That helps a lot.

I think everyone has stress in their lifge at different times. There are sooooo many things that can cause it.I don't think there is anything u can do to avoid it all the time.U just have to learn to deal w/it & make the best of a bad situation.

Hi mayka, I think that stress is unavoidable in life. I so think there are ways to deal with it and limit it's affects on us though. I think the first thing is to figure out what it is that relaxes you. It can be different. For me, it's a hot bath or a good book. I like being outside too. I have a comfortable lounge chair outside that I like to lay on with my little dog and a good book. I have a very busy and stressful existance..the little things save me though. On the days that I have off from work, I try not to schedule anything. There are times when I have to but I try not to.

For me the positive attitude is the key. If there is something stressing me, I try to analyze the problem and figure out, how bad is it. I try to cheer myself up and find solution to the problem or if I can't in any way affect the situation, I just try to go through it with my head high. You can't direct the wind, but you can adjust your sails they say.
