What is the cheapest way to make teeth look white?

I am a poor chic without dental insurance. I can spend a few bucks on the best whitening stuff. I use ultrabrite which has baking soda and peroxide in it. I can't see any results. I was born with off white teeth but I want to look like "ross" on friends to the point to where they glow in the dark, is there anyway to whiten them this good?

The cheapest way is to use baking soda and peroxide you got that right, next would be whitening toothpastes, but I'm not quite sure if they work... I asked a dentist about this, and I was told that too much fluoride could also result to yellow teeth. You could reduce your fluoride intake. But if you really want white teeth like Ross on friends, going to the dentist or some dental clinic and have that laser whitening thing would most probably the only choice. I've got to say, Ross' teeth is just too white... almost unreal...

This was my answer. I use it all the time and it works wonders for me. I even sometimes smoke and drink coffee and the baking soda still holds true to form. I get compliments all the time about how white my teach are. $.64 cents at Walmart. It's not the best tasting, but after a while you get use to the taste. The results are outstanding!! I don't even need the peroxide.

It does taste bad doesn't it? Yeah but the feeling you get after makes up for it! @writergirl - acquired taste? But yeah, it is really cheap and effective to boot!

Try the Crest whitening toothpaste as well as the Crest Whitening mouth wash. I've seen people use the two combined and their teeth became whiter. This may sound crazy but you can actually rub orange peels on your teeth and they'll eventually get whiter, I heard it on the Ellen Degeneres show. Just use the inside of the peel (where it's a pale orange/yellow color) and not the outside part. I've tried it before and it seemed to work, you just have to do it more than once.

It really does sound crazy but you'll definitely start to notice a difference if you rub your teeth with them. The changes won't be drastic but your teeth will definitely get whiter. And hey, you kill two birds with one stone...spending money on food and a teeth whitener!

I sure wish I knew the answer to this. I would like to make mine whiter also. I get my teeth cleaned but I have also used tooth whitening toothpase and the bleaching trays but nothing has really worked that is affordable.

never really heard about doing this. Do you just rub it on your teeth or chew on it or what?

Before I went to my prom in June, I wanted to whiten my teeth so they would look good in pictures. So, I went to the local CVS/pharmacy store down the block to see what they had. I was already using Crest 3D toothpaste, which does make a difference, as I've noticed. But I wanted something extra. The strips can cost around 30-50 bucks, and I didn't want to spend that much money. They have a gel that you add to your toothpaste. But I bought, for about 6 bucks, a little mouth tray that you squeeze gel into twice a day for two weeks. It made a noticeable difference, and while my teeth aren't bright, as I would like them to be, they're whiter. I don't really want to whiten them too much, because it can weaken the enamel, so I am content with my teeth, they look pretty good.

I don't know if you want to try it but there's something called Coconut Oil and you can rinse with it like mouthwash and spit it out. It makes teeth whiter and cleaner. You can look it up too and see what it says. =) Hope this helps!

I used to use peroxide on my teeth with good results but over time it caused my gums to recede slightly which is not a good thing and it does cause wear on the enamel which is also not good. These days I use Colgate whitening toothpaste and I have to say it works quite well for me and I could tell the difference when I stopped using it for a couple of weeks. I have heard that strawberries whiten teeth although I’ve never had enough of them to notice; I may just try them when they come back in season here because I love strawberries so if I can enjoy them and whiten my teeth it is double bonus!

Hi Samafayla, I tried almost all to get my teeth shine in white, but last i can do was to reach my dentist for cleaning up and I was able to find my teeth much better after that. It depends on teeth nature, my sister tried peroxide, it worked for her. Have you tried eating onion raw, though it makes mouth smell, but my brother believes thats the reason for his whiteness.

Have you read or heard about Crest White Strips? I have read A LOT about it and they said it's really effective. All the reviews I read about it are all positive. I've never heard or read a negatie review about it yet. Try it.
