photo uploading in discussions

hi friend, i had seen pics in some of my friends discussions. then i too tried to upload a photo in my discussion, but it was a failure. i have chosen a file from my pc then clicked upload photo. then the photo is shown at the bottom, but when i clicked start discussion i dont know what happened. the photo got disappeared. could anyone please tell me the reason?
