In photography art good picture are take in nice compose, enough light and extra. What are you guys thinking about good picture ? It is depend on model or subject itself ? Any opinion ?

I think a good picture is usually something different from other photos. Like looking at a subject from an unusual angle or composed in an interesting way. It has to be a picture that is is either interesting or very pleasing. Pictures that have a story to tell are good to, or make you think. For example if you have a photo of an old man standing at a bus stop, does it make you think 'I wonder where he's going' or does it just look like an old man at a bus-stop? Some photos just suggest that something is about to happen. So really I think that most of the credit has to go to the photographer for just seeing the possibilities!

Sometimes you can see a picture and think 'I wonder what happened next?'. An example would be you see a dog jumping and a few yards away a woman with a toddler in a pushchair with an ice-cream - and it gets you thinking about whether the dog got the ice-cream, landed in the pushchair or ran after a seagull instead. Or you might see a picture of a tennis racket lying by the side of the road - and it makes you think 'how did that get there?'.

i know what you means. But to sell the picture that not only based on picture story. Its mainly based on quality picture like colour and enough light.

What Do you mean, is story behind the picture right ? If you say so, its rarely to happen fren. I think that another criteria of good picture.

yup sometimes the viewer do not know whats inside of the eye of the beholder.they seems to think quick that there good lookin at the first glance.

i agree with your statement. But when think point of view by photographer, we want to take nice picture in term of accurate shutter speed and also enough light.

Hi Kissmylense, that is a difficult question to answer, why ? In my humble opinion, the good photography depend from who or the poeple who see the photo, and from the photograper too. If you are an idealism photografer, everything that you shoot is a good picture for you and you don't really care for what people say, but if you are such as a wedding photografer the good picture or not was depending to your clinet. Even you create the picture with a good technical and best composition, but your client don't like it, its not a good picture. :)

ohh .. like that haa. That sound difficult to photographer. You also know right. when photographer doing their job with full of skill and technic suddenly the client reject. But, your statement sometimes right. Thanks.

I agree with the statements and i also consider the environment where photography is carried out. To think about a good photo we have to think of light which is enough and also a good surrounding that matches the object whose photo one is taking.

unique picture ? sometimes its very difficult to get that picture. But when we get it, its so luck to have it.
