Can i referral my friend by using the same modem but different laptop?

Hi mylotters
We are three friends live in same room in our university. So, we share same internet modem to use internet. Few days ago, I registered in mylot. So, they are becoming interested to join here. They liked mylot very much. So, what do you think ? Can i referral them? Will my account will be closed for using the same IP address or it will be treated as cheating? But all of we use different laptops.
If you know anything please share with me.

Yes more then one person can be using the same IP and or computer. But very important to fill out the affiliated form. Not doing so will look like the account is for the same person. So have the person(s) fill out this form:

As the account system in mylot is userid password based and not ip-based hence you can refer as many ids as you want, no matter if all the users use the same ip, modem whatever.
