Some news shocked our country a few days ago. THey are not something new, but indeed shocking.
1. 14-year-old boy rapes two younger sisters.
2. Mom stabbed to death her child.
3. A home helper (owners cousin) killed a mother and her two children.
4. An uncle and cousin cut off the head of a man after accusing (the uncle and cousin) them of stealing crops.
THough not all happened inside the home, it is scary what people can do now to their own family members. The crime is getting more and more serious, and the suspects are actually the people we might think we can most rely on - our family.
What do you think? Is home really a safe place? What do you think should be done in order to keep family the safest people to be with? What has happened to our morality?

Hi Bannybanzie!
I hear of news like that every now and then and it's really horrible. I can't really imagine how people can do that to their own family except if they have lose their sanity. But even insane people seldom hurts other people. So I guess a person would not only have to be mentally ill but they probably would have to possessed by something evil to do something like that. It's really bothering because home is supposed to be the safest place for a person.

Hi! Indeed, those are horrible. Yes, even insane people don't hurt (unless of course somebody hurts them).. Those are very unimaginable happenings in life.. so scary and tragic.. So traumatizing not just for the victims but for everyone who hears it..
Let us just be careful and hope it will not happen to us.

I wonder what causes people to kill their own loved ones? I remember seeing the aftermath of one of our mother cats eating a new born kitten she had had. I came home to body parts on my rug. Ugh! This was an animal but to think of a mother or a human being taking another life. I just can't put my head around it. Is it a sign of the times? Are we all going postal? I just don't know.

For me if you not worship the only true God Jehovah then your home is not safe because the holy spirit of him is not glory the way your living is because the ruler of this system is Satan so be calm and prayed everyday called him in your prayer.

Hi!
Yes, I also believe in Jehovah. He has helped has in every day of our lives. We have always seen how good He is and how He guides those who follow Him. I'm sad my dad has turned his ways, but I am happy that my mom still strives with us to do what is good and right.
Thank you and happy mylotting!

Hi Banny!
Even if home is not the safest place but among other places I think people will consider home as the most safest place in entire world. But the truth is there are just the same. Inside or outside the house both are still not the safe place for us. We need to be careful and alert in all time as danger can hit anyone. About the family, me myself do not think that we should trust anyone including the family hundred percents because we have no idea what they could do to us in the future. Do not say about the morality as people nowadays are obviously lack with it. It is all because of the 'mind of your business attitude' or my theory of 'X is O and O is X' the wrong is true while the true is false. You can find everywhere that people are agreeing and supporting the offense committed. They always say that they have choice and they can do whatever they like. So they are always correct. And because of that we will meet with people like you mentioned above who thought that they are right and they can't accept the 'no' words. Disagreeing with them means you will get something from them. They went uncontrolled of themselves and committed crimes. So it is better for us to take cautious and being alert always as we can't trust anyone even the people at home..

Yes, there is really no safe place now. All we can do is be careful and be watchful of our surroundings. As much as possible, avoid disagreeing with anybody. People don't accept mistakes anymore. and they don't want to be corrected.. So better be quiet..
Yeah, things have changed now. What used to be wrong is now right.. So bad..
Thanks and have a great day ahead!

Believe everybody./ Also do not believe everybody. confusing-- people if they are not having work their mind will go in wrong directions. We should always be doing something which we consider as good. then one will not have time to think about unnecessary things.
I am against keeping permanent servants in houses because they have more free time which makes them commit crimes.

Hi!
It's really hard to trust people nowadays.. My aunt used to have maids in the house because she can't find any more time to deal with house cleaning and the children are still small. But she decided now not to get maids. She always loses stuffs like jewelry and phones. In the end, she's not saving her energy w/ maids but rather wasting money. Though there are still really dedicated people who serve others in good intentions.
Thanks and happy mylotting!

This is a main issue - viz. theft by servants. You have a few people who are more loyal.

It starts with people taking each other (family) for granted. The trust and respect start fading, then petty resentments occur and become serious and soon family members are hurting each other, one way or the other. I think many families these days are broken already or in the process of falling apart.

hello Banny,
These news are really shocking.
You are right.."how safe is home" a home that we count as the safest place and comfortable to stay no matter how simple it is.
Well, the world is getting worse because of human.
Humans are becoming worse and do things beyond our imagination.
Killing family members,or doing bad things to them is the worst we can imagine,and...it happens inside our very own home.
have a great weekend

Hello Banny,
These family doesn't have that much patience and tolerance with each other. it seems that they like to keep a grudge on each other so much that when crap things happen, they kill each other. another thing i guess is lack of communication, a lot of misunderstandings. am glad that it's only me and my mom here. some people lack education too and that's caused them to kill relentlessly, escape or be captured later on regretting what they did.

hi!
I agree with you. One factor that contributes to this situation is lack of communication. Due to this, members don't really feel the love that should be felt inside the family, because if everybody knows and feels the value of each other, they are less likely to do such terrible things.

Yes it is quite scary to hear the news of these types of occurrences. Oh my I am glad I have not to date ever have to worry that someone directly from my own home would harm me. I don't think I have to worry as of yet from anyone in my home as no one to date has demonstrated any types of harm towards one another.
It is sad to some to have to live in fear from any types of acts such as these in their homes. I don't know if it is all morals as some can have mental issues and or instabilities and snap sometimes. But sad when they do this for money and or property at times.
What will this world be if morals were not part of families.

I guess the expression "safe as houses" applies only to property we buy for ownership or investment, not in relation to our relations! Thankfully, this sort of thing is very rare, but we can expect to hear more about it due to our communications systems being very developed. I hope you have found a safe neighbourhood & family with whom to live!
I often see this too - our technological advancement has outstripped our inner development. We are seeing more & more of the results of this. It should serve as a wake-up call to us now. We should heed the words of Confucius & apply them to ourselves - first we must cultivate ourselves, then we can manage the family, etc.

This is absolutely terrifying. I cannot believe that people could ever do such horrific things to their own family members - how on earth do they live with the grief and guilt of killing your own family afterward? The only explaination I can think of is that these people must have some kind of mental illness - surely anyone in their right mind would not be able to do such horrific things to their own family! Its scary stuff. The problem is that to try and protect people from their family is not really possible or practical - your family is who you live with, the people who are supposed to protect you. I don't know what is happening to the world that this kind of thing can be going on.

Hi!
Yes, it is absolutely not something a person in good and sound mind would ever do. And it's really hard to live in this world now, but what can we do? Let's just hope that such things don't happen to us or our love ones.

bannybanzie oh they do like to sensationalize these as those this happens in every home in whatever country we are talking about. yes of course they are horrible.but I have lived on this street for two years and none of my neighbors have done of these horrible things.so relax as these are rarer than you think and most of our homes are filled with love and kindness. its just as thats the only news the papers want to print so it seems like the whole world has gone mad when its just a few rotten eggs not the whole dozen.

Hi!
Yeah, maybe they are not as common as most people think. Honestly, I see a lot of people showing love for their family even in the hardest of times and I feel joy inside when I see those. But seeing such things happen really bothers me and makes me think. The world is really a dangerous place to live in, but where else will we live?
Let's just be careful and watchful.. Thanks and happy mylotting!

hi,
as of today, crime is everywhere, and even inside of our home, this days there is no safe because bad people can make bad things and crime inside of home, i could say that home could only safe if there is no bad people live near to your home.and also depend to the person who are inside of that home.

Hello! Banny yes you right all that news are scary in our country today, but I think it depends where you live or what kind of place you live in,example if you live in squatter area or slum of course you cannot say your home is safe, right?we know already what kind of people living in that area and also it depends of what kind of family you have.If you live in a nice community and have a loving and caring family and don't have any mental problem of course your home is safe.
