I've Been Thinking About Getting a Pet

I'm contemplating about possibly getting a pet. Since I no longer have a roommate and I'm not welcoming the thought of getting another human to live with, so I thought a non human might be a welcome change. I always wanted a dog but my one-room apartment wouldnt be spacious enough for a dog so i think a smaller animal would be ideal, something you can put in a cage. The first animal I considered is the hamster, theyre cute and tiny but they look so much like rats so i guess they wouldnt do. And my taste doesnt lie on anything quite exotic like a big lizard or snake. What Im really interested in getting is a guinea pig, a little bigger than a hamster but not as big as a dog. I did a little research on the internet and I guess this furry animal would just be the right pet to start with.

But you cannot take a guinea pig for a walk.
Why not look for a small dog.
Not all dogs are big..there are dogs of small breeds,so you can choose a small one.
You can at least have it for a walk and the best company ,just my opinion.

it would be nice to have a dog but im not home most of the day so a dog wld really get lonely being alone so i thought a couple of guinea pigs left alone in a cage all day would be a better alternative.

How about considering an aquarium? I think it makes the room look much more attractive (just a personal opinion). Well taking care of them is another problem though. We had some goldfishes about 2 years back I guess and we couln't take care of them at all it was scary and confusing, considering that it was our first pet after a decade maybe! Anyway I think a pair of goldfishes would be lovely
