Ireland in my dreams

Ireland is possibly one of the few countries that I have found to be most interesting. Most of what I know about this country I learned from reading the books of Irish writer Maeve Binchy. I simply love her books, I have read almost all her novels: Quentin, Scarlet Feather, Glass Lake, Copper Beech, Evening Class, Tara Road, etc... Ireland is of course the primary setting of her novels and she pictures it in such a beautiful way, the countryside, the forests, the lakes and the people in her novels seem to contribute to the beauty of this country. If I ever have the chance to travel to Europe, Ireland would be one of the places I would surely visit.

It was actually The Corrs that got me first interested in Ireland, but after much reading, I've developed the desire to visit Ireland for its beautiful green landscape. I think the Celtic history is fascinating as well!

The accent is adorable too! It's one of the accents that I have a hard time mimicking...

I have never read her books, but I have traveled to Ireland. Ireland is a beautiful country and the people there are so nice and have accents that make me melt. Maybe I will have to try reading one of her books...

While I have never read her books at this point, you have me wanting to. I have a lot of Irish ancestry and have always wanted to be able to visit the country. I would love to be able to go, camera in hand and spend a month or so photographing the scenery. Unfortunately I probably will never be able to afford such a trip, especially with the economy the way it is now days, sigh** Guess I will just have to read about it.

When I was studying at university I liked to go around to see nearby places. I caught a high speed ferry from Holy Head to Dublin. The sea was ever so rough and I was really sea sick. The ferry was being tossed around and everyone felt ill. All other ferries were cancelled that day and I had to stay overnight. I liked Dublin's historical looking streets and fine shops. I found somewhere cheap to stay the night. I got given a £10 duty free voucher for what happened from the ferry company. I liked Dublin but found it pricey. My favorite countries that I have visited are Samoa, Australia, New Zealand, Belize and the Seychelles. I hope that you get the chance to visit Ireland, for me it is next door. I hope to go back to South America and visit more places in Asia. I would adore another trip to Sydney. I wish to visit India to see the Taj Mahal. I am keen to see wildlife in Madagascar. I really want to go island hopping and snorkeling in the Philippines.

Ireland is one of the countries I would really wanna got to. I've watched the movie "Leap Year" wherein some parts of it where shoot in Ireland. It was an interesting movie, it features Ireland and the culture they have. Love It! Hoping I could go to Ireland someday.
