I hate picky clients!

So today I wrote a 1000 word article for a client. They asked for a revision and said that I did not put all the keywords into the article. I went back and found each keyword. They were all there! I really wish people would read the article before jumping to conclusions. I messaged this client telling him that they were all in there, and to please specify exactly what he wanted me to revise. I haven't heard back from him yet.
Do you have any picky clients? If so how do you deal with them? If not, how do you think I should deal with them in the future?

This is so a peeve of mine. I don't like that they didn't read the article and I especially don't like that you haven't heard back. Well at the time I am writing this you may have heard back by now. I hope this is not a means to not pay you for your work. I would love to know the outcome of this.
Not sure how to deal with them though. I mean you want to get paid and perhaps keep the relationship so you can do more work. Or do you mind letting this client go because of the picky'ness? I would definitely ask them to please read the work thoroughly. A 1,000 words take a little time.

I think you've dealt with it in an ideal fashion: you checked, you've stated that they're in the article and you've asked politely for clarification. You can't do better than that.
There's a small chance they're trying to avoid paying, so being very professional and clear is the best possible route. That way they have absolutely no comeback.
I'm lucky: I've never had a picky client. I get constructive criticism and feedback from all three of my regulars, which is great. I'm always happy to rewrite something if they're not happy with it because I know that, if they need to ask for a rewrite, I really missed the point they were trying to make!!

I agree. Clients nowadays tend to be picky since they would like to maintain a certain level of quality from their writers. But if you had followed his instructions to the letter, then I don't think there should be a problem with it and there'd be a need for minor revisions only. By the way, when you said that you have not heard back from him, does it mean that you haven't continue on with the project?

I think clients like that can be really annoying. Especially when you put a lot of time and effort into a 1000 word article with everything that they wanted in the article. It can be really frustrating. The thing though is that if we want to get paid we've got to do what they want and redo whatever needs to be done. Even when we may not really know what that is. We have to look over our article again and again and fix it even when it may seem perfect already. That can be hard though because sometimes for example when i've written articles i feel like my brain has already worked so hard making and revising the article. I feel like i don't know where to begin when to fix it when it's been rejected or needs revising. So then we have to take a little time perhaps only 15 or 20 mins away from our article so that we can try to get a fresher perspective. It may even be necessary to ask someone else to read our article and give us suggestions on improving, reading our article out loud may help us to see errors or places we can improve. Or you could decide that the particular client you don't want to work for and you can try find someone else to write articles for.

Oh this is quite common there are so picky customers.
I think everyone wants to be fat and therefore receive such things.
However, this is our life, and everywhere there are situations and we must primiryavamie because this is our job.
But each situation is try to get out the positive things in every situation.
Have a nice day!

I think everyone comes across a picky client now and then. You just have to decide whether the money and reputation is worth the trouble. Make really sure you've written the piece exactly as he wanted, then ask which keyword is missing and how many times he wants you to use it. You should be able to make a minor adjustment here and there and resubmit.
