We are trying to declutter and reorganize, and what we've decided to do is sell a bunch of the things we aren't using (and argh, that's a lot of stuff) and use the money to buy new furniture. (We have a white couch and a toddler, lol)
We have things like:
games
baby clothes and toys
lamps
small appliances
craft supplies
and lots of random stuff
I'm trying to decide which things I should sell at a garage sale (going to have one at a friend's place) and which things I should try to sell on eBay. Any thoughts? What do you buy at garage sales?

I think the things that sell at garage sales are the same as eBay. Baby clothes always go well, in my experience. I would put out the small appliances and lamps on the garage sale because people want to test them before buying them. Really, I think you'll have better luck at a garage sale with all of the things you've listed.

Thanks. It's now just a matter of waiting for better weather. I also have some dvds. I keep thinking of more things that can go - hopefully I'll make a lot of sales.

I have a friend that uses Ebay and she finds that baby clothes do very well on there, so I would try that first. Smaller toys, lamps, and appliances should be sold at the garage sale, but if you have any big toys (play castle, etc.) craigslist is a good option. Good luck with it!

Thanks. I do have a lot of cute baby clothes because wow, does he grow fast. And we received a lot of clothes. I'd rather sell them at a garage sale because I don't feel like dealing with shipping, but I could see if my husband wants to try eBay.

I buy kids clothes, adult clothes, craft items, and decor mainly.
I've tried to sell my kids clothes at a garage sale and I didn't do very well I had like 13 boxes and sold $10 worth!! Granted alot of what they had was used when I got it but I wasn't selling it for much more than I paid for it like say .25-$2.

All the stuffs you listed are always included in garage sale. You also need to add clothes and some shoes and jewelries or ladies accessories. I also like to include there some board games, beauty products that you don't but not expired yet okay and some knick knacks that will come in handy.

I have a few board games that we're looking to get rid of. I think my friend is planning on cleaning out her closet so I can get her to put the clothes in. Thanks for the suggestions!
