Yesterday while I was working at the restaurant, which is my part - time job. While I was helping the customers to swipe the credit cards, I overheard the conversation between these 2 customers. One customer talking about how she was paying her debit card at the tanning salon, it didn't get through, because there wasn't sufficient fund in her account. She called the bank, and they pull up all the transaction, and told her that she withdrew some $800 from an ATM more than half hour ago. She immediately place a fraud alert, and have demand the bank to investigate it further, since she hadn't done any withdrawing. I can't help but interrupt the conversation and told her that, those criminals are smart enough to make a duplicate of your debit card from anywhere, gas stations, ATM machine. They only need to place a skimmer in those card machines, and have surveillance camera to capture your pin number, then they can pillage your fund in a minute. Scary isn't it? So, be alert on such scam, and people actually already victim in real life.

This is certainly VERY scarey. I remember once years ago $100 went into my account, a mistake made by the bank. I tried to tell the bank both in writing and on the phone but they would have none of it. They said that after a certain amount days if nothing was done it was mine. Nothing was done and I had the extra money in my account. Sort of the reverse here I hope people become more careful. I check my account all the time for errors and problems.

Yes it seems that nothing today is absolutely one hundred percent safe. We as users and customers have to be on the watch as fraud and scams are on the rise.
