So. I have great news that turned into crappy news. lol I got a new job. But, realized that I am now working 40 hrs a week at Walmart until October. Some of it stinks, but thats mostly that I am not used to 9hrs a day on my feet. And guess what happens on the first week of work. I broke my darn phone. :( I'm a little bummed about that. Mostly because my father is so hard to get a hold of. Then when I did he tells me to call the store and see what's up. I know that they're going to say "oh just come in." and then they're gonna say "your dad has to be here because he owns the plan." I am not saying this to hate on my dad or anything it's just that he frustrates me a little.

First off, be thankful you have a job. You may not be used to nine hour days, but you're getting more than most people are. Be thankful for that. If you manage to keep the job long enough, your body will adjust to the schedule. So don't worry about the long days, after a while they'll seem like a thing of the past. Just do your best to keep the job, because people are expendable and there are at least ten people dying for your position. Second off, how does your job complaint fall under the catagory of cell phones? I understand you broke your phone. That wasn't a very smart move on your part and should be very thankful that's all that happened. As for your dad, I don't know what to tell you. When you're in an ecconomy where it's hard to stay a float, then parents can be difficult to reach. Now, your dad may have been this way from before this ecconomic crisis started, but sometimes that's how life is. When you need someone or something they seem to vanish. So, on that note I can feel your pain. But, do try to forgive him. You may not have him one day, and you don't want lingering regrets.

Because the day I started my job my phone broke. It was just ironic. Also, I am beyond thankful for the job. Also, my father sometimes has the habit of flaking out on things even when there wasn't an economic crisis and I haven't lived with him.

Having a job is indeed great news, though working hours may be longer. You are very much better off then someone whom cannot get a job. Hope you will soon get used to the working hours and 9hrs a day at your feet as time passes. Your cell phone may have broke down for a reason... probably is for you to get a new and better one :) All the best to you.

Hi BeccaM1989, first of all calm down it really isn't that bad. 8hrs a day 40 days a week is considered a normal work week with those hours. Here everyone is working 10 to 12 hours a day. It used to be an 8 hour a day requirement. But things have changed. As for your phone being broke it is just a minor setback, in time the problem will be settled you just have to have the patience. And be very thankful because you are truly blessed. I can tell you some things I am going through and it will make you have a "hissy fit". But this isn't about me it is about you. "Selah". means pause and think about that.

I think it's a really good thing that you got hold of a job. I have seriously been looking for one everywhere and there's nothing I can find that is suitable for me. I mean seriously it's been a year already and still nothing. I'm still looking out though. I was planning on finding a job anyhow this summer but still no luck. Goshh I wish I found one already Anyway good luck for your work. And what does your dad own the plan mean?
