Gif Files Help Needed

Hi, I am new to mylot and I cant work out how some peoples gif files move and some don't. I have had gif files up and they won't move. Any Help is appreciated ty.

animated gif - this is an example to show animated gif image .
you are refering to animated GIF images . this type of images have layers within . and the layers rotate to show the animation

Thanks I knew this I just can't work out why they work for some people in here but others they don't yet they are both gifs files.

The ones that are automatically resized by mylot don't move, the ones that are uploaded the same size as they are displayed (such as my avatar) do move. I had to resize mine on my computer before uploading to make it work.
