Shopping at home or abroad?

Since I use internet and started to shop online, I love buying items from other countries. So, I already bought products from Germany, Austria, England, China, Singapur, USA... it's a nice experience which I really enjoyed.
So shopping online, do you've ever bought items from abroad or do you prefer to shop inside your own country?

If u get a good service then online shopping is so excited . i love doing online shopping. i too ordered many things from other countries. the most liked product is my saree i shopped from

I wanted to buy online but I don't like that the shipping fee is expensive and I read a lot in forums about their complains against the customs, so this makes me scared also to purchase online. That is why whenever I come here in germany I always buy a lot of things, it is a good thing also coz I can see personally the products and test them.

People usually share more bad experience than positive ones, so that converts us to be more carefull. If I may ask, to which part of Germany do you usually go? Thanks for your post.

I never really bought something outside my country because it is very expensive and I dont have a lot of money yet, but I have tried buying something from the internet though. It was a plane ticket. The ticket was on sale that I had to really buy it. But aside from that,none. I think i'd prefer buying something inside my country only.

Your own country has got plenty of nice items to buy. Plane tickets usually are cheaper on internet than in a travel agency. I also haven't got a lot of money, so I buy only ocasionally. But even so, I like it.

I prefer going for shopping rather than doing it from the internet. I have bought clothes and shoes from internet twice I think and haven't like it coz it looks different than on the picture. ANyway i do use internet shopping when I have to buy gadgets though. I like it coz sometimes we get good discounts.

I really enjoy shopping online, but I very rarely shop outside my country (UK) because it ends up being really expensive posting 
I've bought a few nice bits off Etsy before from outside my country, and a few off ebay but that's about it. What sort of things have you been buying? Has it cost you much for postage?

Actually, I've bought for example books from Germany, Sissi items in Austria, Ben 10 pyjamas in England (for my kids), some pattern for cross point in Ireland, thread for cross point in Singapur...mostly because items were cheap and pritty even including the shipping costs.
