it is really a painful experience losing a beloved pet. the very first dog in our house died because of age. but the next dog we have i really took good of care of suddenly vanished one night. i was the one to give him his name. i tried my best to look for it. but no luck i think some other people took it and killed it. i was very lonely and i can never forget it i still regret it, it's about 9 years now.
have you experienced parting with your pet how did you feel?

Why do you think someone got your dog and killed it?? Is there any evidence to that?
My family has lost many dogs during my lifetime, some I remember some I don't. Actually years ago we actually lost 3 of our 4 dogs in a 6 month period, which was VERY hard for us.
Our first dog of those 3 that we lost was a shock because she was (seemingly) our healthiest dog, she was in the best physical shape. And then she just went down FAST, she was gone within the hour, she was only 9 years old.
The 2nd dog was due to old, she couldn't even get up on her own anymore, my parents took her to the vet and had her euthanized. Thankfully my sister, my brother and I were picked up and were able to go to the vet to tell her goodbye before she was put to sleep.
The third dog was having some health issues so we took her to the vet, turned out she had cancer. The vet said she was too old (9 years) to survive the surgery. They recommended euthanasia, my parents took that advice.
Losing all of those dogs was very hard on us. Our 4th dog is still alive, she is a 10 year old golden retriever. We have added two additions to our dog family, a shepherd/rotty mutt rescue from a shelter and a lab/great dane mix rescued from the street. It's going to be hard when we lose our Goldie, but Sam and Maggie are still young (about 5 and 3 years old) so hopefully we won't be losing them months after Goldie.
