What do you think is the ideal digital camera for me?

I currently own a Panasonic Lumix TS1. I bought it 2 years ago. It's waterproof/shockproof, but due to daily usage, it has become vulnerable and I don't think it's still waterproof/shockproof. I'm thinking of selling this so I'll have money to buy a new one. (but most probably I'll still have to add cash).
Previous to my Lumix, I owned a Sony digicam. Personally, I like the quality of the Sony camera better.
Can anyone suggest an ideal camera for me? Something very affordable, the best photo/video quality, very handy, great features (preferably with night shot - the one like the blair witch project effect. Haha!)
I love to travel, and I need a very nice camera that I can bring with me anywhere. :)

Why don't you try Canon digicams? My first digicam was Canon A2000 IS, little bit heavy since its battery is 2 AA batts. But the good side of it was the clarity photos taken from it and it just cost 5k in the Philippines. And I friend of mine told me that Canon is superb when it comes to digicams.

Panasonic Lumix TS Series are great for outdoor shoots and great for travel but it one important factor for me that it lacks. Its not good for night or less light shoots ...I still go back to my handy Nikon CoolPix P Series coz its semi pro..not so big like DSLR but has a professional clear and crisp shots especially at night.
Another one that i can recommend is the Canon PowerShot D10 Waterproof ..its handly and also take great pix plus its waterproof which is great when your travelling on a wet season or your on the beach

me, i am using canon digital camera because i am after for the AA type of Batteries which can be easily purchased at the stores....
whether it is a rechargeable or a disposable type... back-up batteries is one of my reasons... i have plenty of back-up disposable batteries as well as 4 rechargeable batteries....
whenever i buy camera, i check it if it's AA Battery powered or not....
