I am looking for wax that won't yellow or build up and does not have to be stripped. Is there such a product?? Years ago I remember having to remove wax and then reapply fresh liquid wax becuse the old stuff would yellow. I would think by now there would be a non-yellowing wax that won't build up and save time nd effort. I use a swiffer to wash the floors but now want to have a shiny surface. I'm not sure if these are no wax floors.

I just use dishwasher soap and water. I find it you put wax on them, it builds up and gets yellow. I think there are cleaning products like the Switter ones, that mght work, but have not tried them. I am sort of cheap in that I want to spend as little on doing the floor as possible.

I try to be frugal, but shiny floors just make me happy and lift my mood so I will spend a little more to achieve the look I want. That's why I started this to see if there were products others could recommend so I don't waste money on just trying out different products.

My floor is white so I have to keep it clean all the time. I do use those micro fibre pads and do not like anything with perfume on them. I would rather use something that I do not need to rinse off. So that is why I just use soap and water most of the time.

When I had vinyl flooring in my kitchen, I tried a lot of things to make it shine and not have the yellowing. Ive tried car wax, Avon Skin So Soft, etc. Finally the only thing that really DID the job was water and vinegar. It cleans very well and leaves the vinyl floor shining.

Thank you, I will try vinegar as I know it cleans glass really well. I used to avoid it because I hate the smell, but then someone told me to add lemon drops and it really helped. I use it on other things but haven't tried it on floors. I think these floors still need some kind of wax, but maybe I'll try the vinegar first and see if the floors become dull.

The best not very well known secret to this is to put warm water in mop bucket with some bleach then light a candle and drip about 7-10 drops of candle wax in the water then mop the floors while the water is warm this way your floors become shiny and no need to pay for expensive wax products just use a normal unscencted or scented candle if you prefer.
i hope you find this useful.
