Food for thought. "If electronics were no longer"

This is a question outside the box, with the way things are today, would life be worth wild if there were no computer or internet or game console. What state of mind would you have, what kind of fun besides sports and game boards, would you partake in if there were no electronics more like t.v's and stuff/ just a thought.

This disussion made me remember the happy days of childhood. There was a lot of fun without computer and game consoles.Hanging with friends around the town, going to beach, playng hide-and-seek and rangers and tieves etc.I wish I could go back for awhile in the past.Playng outside is what children need!

That's right, kids these days could care less about going outside exploring and playing in the creek or fishing and stuff of that nature. Now its I want this game and that game, now we gonna have fat kids and nothing but laziness.

I would be lost because that is how I communicate with my friends. Oh I mean I'd get by with books for entertainment, but I wouldn't be able to contact my friends and that would really suck.

I understand completely, that's the same way I feel sometimes. If wasn't for the internet I wouldn't be as close as I am with some of my distance family. LOL

I'd say that's more a historical question than outside the box. When I was small, we had none of those things and we played like kids have always played: tag, cops 'n' robbers, riding bikes, toy soldiers, board games, drawing, marbles, pretending we were comic characters, hide & seek, whatever.

you're right, so would you give up this new era of electronics and go back to the old days and see our youth out playing marbles and board games or would you say, this is just fine and keep the new stuff just the way it is. With all these kids playing the latest killing games and young people online doing all kinds of crazy stuff. What would you prefer?

When I grew up there were no computer, playing console, nor cell phones, and many other technical gadgets. We played with wood toys, ballsports, climbed the trees, played games outside in groups, basketball, volleyball, soccer(football) bike riding, reading paper books, listening to the radio. Did handcraft art etc. Wrote postal mail to penpals around the globe.

Thats rare to find to many people doing things of that nature these days. All of that nice stuff have been replaced with electronics, but does it make the experience better or worse. For example you say you use to write to your penpals, well I think facebook took tne place of that and the new thing called video chat. So does it make it better or worse in your opinion/

Oh yea I forgot about all those cool games, yea that was the good ol days lol. Nice response. oh how the times have changed, we wouldn't speak of those things to the younger society now and days. I'm teaching the kids how to play xbox rather than those games you listed, wow how time have changed.
