So, I've been couponing and it has helped me so much more. If you are interested in learning, I would love to help. My first suggestion would be to buy one newspaper for each family in your household, then write down items needed for your household. What are your takes on Extreme Couponing, or just couponing in general.

I've been gathering advice throughout the years for couponing, when I have enough money to get my own place I'll be using what I've learned online and offline to do what I can to save money. I don't think I could ever do it as much as these people on the extreme couponing show, but I'd like to give it a try.

Hi SomeCowgirl! Well, you don't have to do what you see on TV. All you need to do to start off, is to start slow. Start off buying little things in order to get the hang of it. You can try to buy things like Ketchup, Mustard, BBQ (Labor Day is coming up). Hotdogs, things like that. What i do is go to blogs that already have the work done, telling me where the sales are that way i don't have to do all that work. I know where the sales are, and I match my coupon to that sale!

That sounds pretty good. I think I'll be doing a lot of shopping from places like dollar general, they tend to have good sales on things, and seems they've been increasing the good deals when it comes to adding in coupons. I know someone whose been able to get things there for free because of their coupons plus the sales.

You can use coupons there right? I live in Illinois and they don't have Double Coupon Days! However; I do live 30 minutes from a store in Indiana that does, and Kmart also does it every so often. They just did a double coupon last month. I found shopping at Walmart, Target, & Dollar General has saved me a LOT of money!!! What stores do you have there?

I haven't gotten a newspaper in years and I never could get organized with clipping paper coupons so I don't bother any more, it seems so time consuming to compare everything at each store, I wonder how much money is saved in the end? I use my loyalty cards and the grocery store and try to save money by shopping the sales, stocking up on certain dry items when they are cheap, never buying things like soda or cereal unless they are on a good sale, and I seem to do pretty well saving money without spending lots of time looking for deals...

Ahhh but it's not. When I first started I clipped ALL my coupons and I couldn't organized it until I learned a trick. DON"T CLIP THEM UNTIL YOU NEED THEM Here is what you do. Once you get the newspaper pull our your coupons and put the date on the front page. When you go to blogs, they tell you where to find the coupon. Example: Let's say if there is a coupon for Mustard in the Smartsource from July 17, 2011 for $1 off 1, it would say the following? $1/1 in your 7/17 SS You would go back and look for the SS dated 7/17 and go in it and only cut out that coupon. This has made my life SOOOOO MUCH EASIER!!!!!! I kid you not!!! Try it!!!
