Why people not manage proper timing for eating?

I observed in most of the family members are not manage their timing for eating. Like generally businessmen is not manage time they eat their lunch in 2, 3 or 4 O'clock and dinner late night 10 to 11 O'clock. I think this timing is not better. Proper eating timing should be 12 to 1pm in the afternoon and 9 to 10pm night.
In our house even though no breakfast in the morning direct lunch but no proper timing for anyone, one person eating at 2 O' clock second one is 3 O' clock and 3rd one is directly on 5 O'clock. But I feel hungry when my timing is 1 O'clock but I wait for my husband till 2 O'clock and then take meals after my husband. But really some time feel very hungry and no chance of breakfast because my mother in law not like this. All are business men but I think we are earning only for our stomach so they should manage the time for eating meals.
What you think share your views really all family members should eat simultaneously or at least should mange the time. You are managing your eating time or not.

For me, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So I will not skip breakfast and usually have it around 8am. Lunch would be around 2pm as my kids finish school at 1.30pm. But sometimes I would skip lunch. The most appropriate time for dinner would be 7pm but sometimes we have it later than that. But no supper for all of us unless we are feeling very hungry later in the night.

Nice morning 8am breakfast it means your wake up time is early in the morning. Great 2pm lunch timing and 7pm dinner your eating timing is very well. I think everyone should follow in between 1 to 2 lunch and 7 to 9 dinner. Thanks for sharing your view.

In ancient time all family members were followed the regular eating time was breakfast at 8 to 9 am ,lunch time 12 to 1 pm and supper at 6 to 7 pm.The main reason of ancient people's work was looking for food only. They depend upon the sun light for their work. Because there was no electricity power. Nowadays the advance of science and technology we can make light at anytime anywhere.And also everyone depends many peoples'. So we work different times at different places.So everyone can not followed the proper time for eating time.we easily sacrifices the eating time for our economical growth.Even now in village people are taken their food mostly at proper time. in this matter the city people can't follow the proper time.
And now we are in village also and we like and love this life very much.so we eat proper time.

I think keeping a good eating schedule is a healthy habit. It is also healthy to eat together as a family. WHen my kids were young we always had the evening meal together. I think it is very important to manage your eating schedule.

not eat in proper time will occurs in the case of the youth and hard working people. Youth are busy with friends, chatting, and enjoying. The hard working people are not watching the time, they only keep doing their works.

You are right hard working men or women not check their lunch or dinner time they do only work work and work but friend we are doing work only for foods. Otherwise no needs because if stomach is not then earning is not. Thanks for sharing your view.

Yes life today is very busy where many are sacrificing balance meals. As a rule because I worked I cooked dinner daily and always made sure the children and I ate together every single day. Weekends we had our 3 meals together also.
Now with my boyfriend and him working we cannot eat only but dinner together, so each day I do cook dinner or he will and we do sit and eat together daily. On the weekends when he is not working we do eat our 3 meals together also.
It is a way of bonding and spending quality time together as we chat while we ear. Yes eating very late in the day is not good because the body cannot digest the food properly after going to bed. I try never to eat later then 6pm each day.

Yes friend late night dinner will affect digest problem in our body and take meals together is good habit. But this is not possible for me because in our house every members timing is changed. In our family, my parents always promotes eating together. This means waiting for the arrival of all family members first before eating. But due to practically hunger, it can't be helped to eat ahead of the others. As much as possible we observe the proper time for eating, but with all the things coming up, it becomes very difficult to do this consistently. Yes, do believe that proper time for eating meals should be done consistently, but I am afraid I really don't follow this one.

Hi Surekha,
You won’t eat breakfast because your MIL doesn’t like it. My goodness, it is really a matter of great concern. Why you people do not prepare anything in breakfast? I think the members in your in-laws family don’t aware about the importance of breakfast. Now I am getting a picture of your family… I don’t know what to say here….really don’t know…
In my life, I try to have something in breakfast and lunch is on time as I am in office, but dinner, there is no fixed time for it, and we will have the dinner, after completing the works at home. At dinner, we are having it together with family.
Many people don’t have particular time to have their meals. Many are forgetting they are earning for their health, their family etc. but can’t spend time to have the meals with family. There are many health benefits if we fix time for eating each food. I know one person in my neighborhood, who has fixed time for his breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Try to have your food when you feel hungry.

Yes friend you are right proper time eating is good for health and breakfast is necessary but in mother in law is not like it. She says take direct lunch because due to breakfast stomach problem will arise. You can see my family photo on my profile. Now in my house everybody habit is direct lunch no breakfast. Only 1/2 glass milk in the morning. Thanks friend for participating in my discussion.

When I was a teenager I got used to 4 small meals a day. Then when I was 17 I got depressed and don't eat lunch. Instead I eat much at night and pile on pounds. Now I really regret that my stomach had adjust to this abnormal timing. Nowadays I eat at 11am and 7pm. Its just 2 times but I eat in large piece.

Your timing is great friend really in the middle of 11 to 12 O'clock lunch and 7 to 9 night is lunch is best timing. Otherwise our digestion will break. Everyone should follow this timing. Thanks for sharing your view.

Sometimes when I was really really busy doing my stuff. I completely forgot that its already lunch time. Sometimes I took it around 5pm already near the dinner time.
Many people says that breakfast is the most important meal for the day. Because you start with it. But i dont normally have breakfast.

Ohhhhh friend you are really like my family members why you are eat meals late at 5pm is much late. We all are doing work only because we have stomach for eating otherwise we can live without work so take care and try to change your lunch time. Thanks for sharing your view.

What you say is very true.People should eat at regular fixed timings.But some of us are students or work.At such instances our work or study makes us occupied.We are forced to eat at flexible hours that is when time permits.But those who are relatively free or have fixed times it is better to have a schedule and stick to it.

Well it depends upon what the family members do, because each are duty bound in one way or other, in my family we are just 4 adults now, my son leaves home at 7am, comes back at 9pm almost, he eats his supper with his wife..
We, i mean me and kalyani have diabetes, so we eat at 1pm and 8pm sharp together, my granddaughter is always with us.
On sundays only we eat together.

Sir your profile photo is nice and thanks to sharing your valuable view. Your eating time is good 1pm and 8pm sharp I think all mylotter should follow this time because this is good for health and we all are earn money because stomach is here so why eating timing not managed. Lunch timing may be differ but dinner time should be fix.

improper timings of eating, best example is me only, because when i am sitting in front of internet i just have forget the food. My mom is still calling and calling.
I always trying but i can't, i will surely change this.
Everyone have to eat in time, Great Aristotle was said that "eat in time, and sleep in time, it is best way to digest."

When the members of the family are all working, then , dinner time would most likely be the only meal where all the family members can be present.
I myself, eat dinner with my mother and father-in-law, because i come home from work, just in time for dinner. Hubby would eat dinner a bit late already, because their dismissal is at 8 pm. and he will still ride home for about 30 minutes, so he eats dinner later. But when he arrives, i assist him in everything, specially , with his glassful of iced juice.
But our lunch would be in our respective offices while my parents in- law eats by themselves. Breakfast, i eat ahead of them because i have to report to work earlier than my husband.

Yes friend you are right at least dinner should be simultaneously with all family members. Lunch is not possible because everybody working timing or shop timing is changed. But in my home it is not possible because in our community no take meals with father in laws so it is impossible for me. Thanks for sharing your nice view.

I don't eat breakfast
sometimes I skip lunch or dinner it depends
But for sure I will not skip my midnight snack or should I say midnight meals
Usually at home we don't eat breakfast everyday only Mom and the servant
At 12 noon we must have our lunch and at 7pm we are going to have dinner
It depends how busy and how committed we are in a day.

First I want to ask you what you mean by you wait for your husband to eat and then you eat? Is it not custom to eat with your husband? Here in Canada we eat with our husbands and kids, all at the same table at the same time. Is it not done that way where you live?
When my kids were young I would always make them breakfast but by then my husband was already gone to work so I would sit with them and eat. I wouldn't get up with my husband because he got up too early for me so he made his own breakfast...just a bowl of cereal...nothing hard.
As for lunch, we always ate our lunch at work, my husband and I, and the kids ate lunch at school. So we all usually ate around 12 noon. When I got home from work I made supper and my husband and I and the kids would sit down together and eat.
But now my kids are grown and my husband is no longer in my life and so I eat whenever I am hungry. I eat breakfast by myself and I eat my lunch at work and I eat dinner by myself.

As a family, we always make sure we eat together. I believe that a family that eats together is almost always a happy and united family. It is not good to see each one member just grabbing a plate and eat on his own at anytime he feels his stomach is craving. Eating together is one way to fellowship and a time where we can enjoy togetherness In our family we have time for eating and it should be done together.

I'm alone so I eat whenever I want. When I'm with my family lunch is at 12 and dinner is at 6:00. We always ate together and on a schedule. It might have been 30 minutes earlier or later if there was something that we had to do, but never more than that.

People are different in different ways. While in the back of our minds we know we need to eat better... to eat right, we get busy and food is the last thing we think about. Each person is different and must afix their eating schedule around their needs. No two people are the same. We can recomend servings, we can recomend all we want, but that doesn't change people. Yes, I'm sure yo've been told growing up what you should eat, how much and yes when to eat. You get used to that and it can be hard to change, or once mom's cut the apron string you rebbell by ignoring what you grew up with.
People in general should eat a minium of three times a day. However, most people don't especially here in America. We use hunger as a driving force... and let's face it When you're not hungry you don't want to eat. If you get distracted, and get into poor habbits eating and hunger tend to deminish. Human nature I'm afraid.
Now on a more personal note. I have to eat at least six times a day. I have hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and often have to eat even if I'm not hungry. I often don't eat enough, but I do eat often. And I try to keep a schedule in my mind and fallow it to the letter to keep me on-track so I don't have a low blood sugar episode. And, oddly I've found hot coffee helps me to stay on-track. Never thought I'd actually like it.... but with the right amounts of creamer and sugar I tend to do quite well. And, the coffee makes me hungry craving some protein to keep it stable.

Really this is true not people manager their eating time even in our house not time for eating because everyone is businessmen so they eat any time like 5 O'clock 4 O'clock but we cant do anything. I know this is not good habit but this is depend upon time when they get.
