I have played the game before, but now i added a modification. This has made the game a lot harder i think. Im level 40 focusing on offense but still cant bring the boss down. Any idea on what i should try?

what classes do you have? offense and what? if you don't have a second class selected than perhaps select one...also if your skills are not good against him try rolling them back and selecting others (mystics can do this, one is in Delphi for example), also max out both skill classes, the bonuses they give you are well worth the points invested...finally what modification? if the one where there 3 bosses instead of one, Xmax or X3 I think it is, than you might have a problem...I had a offense+nature guy who healed himself all the time since he had 20/sec. man regen. from a epic axe (onager I think), or you could try offense+defense and the Colossus form, you are nearly invicible the 30 or so seconds it lasts, either way once you select a second class many coombination become available no matter what second class you select, if you need the skillpoints try the mystic...

Actually i have selected a second class but it does not help me much. I selected the occultism class. But to be honest it might have been a mistake. And the modification does not work just like a xsomething i think it makes the bosses stronger and adds minnions. In any case what is the best combination of classes? And can i actually farm the telkines? Is it any good?

well, there is not best combination of classes, it depends upon what skills you choose and how you choose to combine them, and sometimes upon the equipment you have...yes you can farm the telkines, and you can farm typhoon, but alas if you are planning on playing this for longer I wouldn't waste time on normal difficulty and farm them only later on legendary :) also if you don't have the immortal throne expansion, get it, it is goes for very cheap now-a-days like any older game and it adds a lot to the game...alternatively try uninstalling the mod, killing the boss and going further then reinstalling, but I'm quite sure it must be achievable on normal, just buy a crapload of potions and drink them all the time, don't attack when he's got spikes and dodge the meteors, if you instantly get killed by him sucking in red air you will need life leech resistance, easy to obtain in huge loads (usually at least 50 percent) but only on some/very few items...
