I love to read and with money being such an issue I thought I would pass this along. If you do a search for "Dorrance Publishing" go to their website and email them a request to join their book club. The full instructions are on their site. I was excepted the next day. They will give you a code, look through all the book titles they offer, fill out an order form for the book you want, enter the code, and you will receive the book for free including shipping. The only requirement is that you post a review at certain places (like Amazon) and send them the link to your review. You have 30 days to read the book and post a review. Then they will send you another code for another book. There is no cost at all, there are no referrals, and so on. Happy reading!

That sounds great. I just might look into it. The only problem is that I am Canadian and I do not really like to read on my tablet or cell. But I could always print the PDF and turn pages like that... Thanks a lot for sharing this opportunity.

I'm not sure if they're still in business, I may have to check it out.

What kind of books are they? Are they popular authors? I'm not in the US, but I'd rather have a paper book. PDF is a pain. I like to read in bed.

If your outside the U.S. I believe that PDF is the only version available. They are not popular arthors, but they do have a wonderful selection and so far the books I've read have been very good. You can browse the books at their website.

You say ebooks then you say "free including shipping" so are they ebooks or are they real books? lol. If they're ebooks I can't do that because I don't have PDF and can't download anything on this computer to my dismay!

They offer both, ebooks for those outside of the U.S. and real books for those in the U.S. I have PDF but I don't care for ebooks. Theres just something to actually holding a book and turning paper pages.

I visited the site and submitted an application. They have not yet responded. I had a very hard time trying to figure out who to email it to. I did not see any mention of any email address. Finally, I found the "Contact Us" page. But that didn't solve the problem. For the review team, I need to contact one of the representatives. But they don't say which one. If I have to go through all of this for a simple task, maybe it is not worth it.

I had the same problem, if you go to the "get free books" on the left side of the site there is a "join the review team" link. It opens up a different window for emailing. But I like to email from my own email address so I copied the address and its kubinger@dorrancepublishing.com when she sends you an acceptance email it will have the ordering instructions for your free book, the guidelines for posting your review and all the information you'll need to get started and keep going. I saved this email for any refrencing.

What a great idea! I enjoy reading while I am eating--a different book with each meal. Despite a large personal ibrary, I am running out of books to read. So, this is something I certainly want to look into.

This is Great! A easy way and fun way to get books for nothing. Just reading the book in 30 days maybe my only issue. But I quess if it sucks me in this would be great :D

Wow, so nice to hear that. I can't imagine myself reading books that are totally free. It's a good opportunity for thrifty people like me, who loves to save and enjoy things freely as much as availability is possible. I love to read some of the books offered in the site. Thanks for the useful information!
