How do you answer a question? I am not referring to exam question and answer nor essay or editorial writing. But how do you answer questions in a normal conversation with a friend or an acquaintance or in a game? I do not program it by I automatically answer in words of two or in phrases I really don't know why but perhaps because I do not like to talk too much. How about you? How long is your answer to a question?

Hi lazybug!
As much as possible I would try to answer a question in a brief and precise manner. I’m not more of a talker but if I need to explain it further or elaborate then I would be willing to. As what others have said that it usually depends on the question but it could also depend on the person asking the question. Sometimes further illustrations are needed so that the person can understand it more effectively.

It totally depends on the question asked and also on the knowledge I have about it.

It depends on the question that has been asked and in which way I am answering it. If I am on through a phone then I usually try to make it shorter, if I am on through the internet or talking on the phone or in person I'll make it as long as it needs to be. Sometimes I'll just be goofy as the question in itself is goofy and meant in a jesting manner.

I'm not much of a talker, but I have ears of gold, my friends say. I usually only open my mouth to say something important. The length of my answer really depends of the question. But usually it isn't very long. I prefer writing to talking. =)
