I am giving my apartment a thorough going over before going on vacation.
I have a question about picking up hairs in the shower. I wash my hair while taking a shower and lose some. Happens to everyone. How do you best pick them up? I try but do not seem to be very good at picking up these hairs.
I know that there is at least one mylotter and maybe more who has an answer.

blah, i usually pick up hairs out of the tub, the metal thing usually causes the tub to stop up. The best thing to do is to clean it every time you use it, that way it doesn't get stopped up. It doesn't matter who used it last, just clean it. I suggest something like a paperclip because sometimes other things won't pick it up. :) I've tried. Yuck! I hate doing cleaning it out!

Although really gross; I just pick them out, I do this often. I try to do it every shower, but I forget about it. I just use my bare hands. I seems to get them the best. If it's just your hair, then it isn't too bad. She can use medical gloves and pick them out. She should use them if it bothers her.

i don't know, it's either way, when it stops up the plumbing it's bad. I don't know whether drano helps or not, but i just thought of that one. Good luck

The problem for me is how to pick them up. For some reason, i have trouble being able to pick the hairs up. I probably should do it every shower but do not. Then when I go to do a thorough cleaning, there are a lot of hairs. (They are gross) And I have trouble picking them up. They are not on the metal drain. They are on the sides of the shower or the bottom. I will try using gloves. The problem may be that I am trying to pick them up when the shower is wet. Should I wait until it is dry?

I have this same problem! What you can do is take a piece of wire that is fairly sturdy but bends and bend it around your finger so that it is in the shape of a coil. Then twirl it down the drain and it will grab all of the hair. Just pull it back up and get all of that nasty hair out of there!!!

Fortunately, the hair has not gone down the drain. I have pieces in and on the shower after washing my hair. I want to know the best way of picking them up and throwing them away before they go down the drain.

Perhaps you could try using the sticky side of tape to allow the hair to stick to it when the shower is dry?
