But why girl child is killed in mothers womb although its illegal when today women r no less than men.........
Do we remember male cant give birth to child like a female can ????
R we heading in a world without women

Some countries had this practice for too long and now they are importing mail order brides to try and get the population back up because the population is falling. Some cultures still believe boys are more important because they carry on the family name.

This is interesting insight since majority of the societies today are still patriarchal. Hence, in this kind of society, the power play between the sexes often clashes on the survival of society - one thing that a woman can provide and a man cannot. In this way, the women gain more power because she has the capability to reproduce while men cannot continue their line without the women.

This is all because of the dowry system that we have in our country. Mostly in North India. But the stupid parents who kill their girl child in the womb doesn't know that , on day she can grow up and become successful like another boy child. Girls are not inferior to anyone. Saddest part is all this happening in land where mostly we pray to goddess like(sraswathi, lakshmi, Kali etc)

In my country, up until recently, male heir is considered the root of the family and the handdown person of the blood, while females are bound to marry others and be taken away. And there are many examples that pregnant women are sent to hospitals to check out whether they are carrying a boy or a girl despite of the hamr of the rays to babies. If it were a girl, many women would take them off or threatened openly or secretly by their husbands or their families.
The ration is very asymetric. Some may say that in a few years there will be a large number of males who cannot get a wife if the system is still monogamy like today's.
I think that's just a revenge to a country that encourages bearing males rather than females.

It is partly because men are so vain that they want someone to carry on the family name. And it is partly because women are not valued in so many cultures and looked upon as property and birth machines, not useful human beings.
I have heard that China now has a generation of men for whom there aren't enough women to marry. That they outnumber the women, is this true? That is very sad. I think the one-child policy is destroying the culture of China.

i don't know, it's cruel and it would be very wonderful if men could bear like women so they could feel every single ache and pain of carrying the child for nine months and then bearing the beautiful child. That's pretty cruel and I am sorry.

These killings, as you put it, are rooted in cultural and historic in nature. History often preferred men since they are considered as the helm and authority of society and women are just there to produce the line and ensure the biological survival. That is the reason why many societies prefer a less number of women to their men since their value is considered as much more lower comapred to their male counterparts. Even in the advent of the new century and advancement in technology, some society retain some of its subcultural trends and practices. It's not a bad idea to have a sense of identity but sometimes culture blocks the advancement of society and equal treatment of both sexes. People in these societies don;t care if their actions are illegal today as long as they believe that they are right in the sense of their culture and they won't let let go of their archaic ways.
It;s quite sad that this still occurs in the modern age. It only shows that people are not the progressive beings that we thought to be.

This is just atrocious. I wonder if people have even a mite of conscience to even have the guts to do these things. I think there is no stronger or even strongest reason to even justify it, because no matter what the justification is, it is still killing for me. As for me, I hope this should stop.
