I'm 19 years old and a couple of weeks ago I went into the doctor for athletes foot that I had got from my boyfriend because he works a factory job and we sleep together and his feet sweat all day so I figured I got athletes foot from him. Upon going to the doctor I find out that I actually have psoriasis. Well the nurse was a practitioner and had to bring a book and compared my foot to the pictures of athletes foot and pictures of psoriasis. She gave me a topical steroid for my foot and said not to let this come in contact with any athletes foot because it will make it worse (duh, its a steroid). Well I used the lotion for about two weeks and it seemed to make it much much much worse, so i stopped using it without consulting my doctor. I stopped wearing socks and just wear sandals everywhere and now its going away on its own. I wonder if its not psoriasis and I really just have athletes foot (which I would much rather have because its not for life!)
