"We spend our whole lives telling ourselves that everything happens for a reason, when is reality, we just give reasons for everything that happens."
While I was browsing my mail, I have stumble to a mail from my friend which contains the passage above. I want to know your opinion about this.

i like this way of thinking. i think we do try to justify everything we do by putting a reason into why we do it.. but either way, irrelevant of if it happened FOR a reason, or it was happened and we've given it a reason as to why it happened. it still happened. and there is still a reason?

Thank you for your reply. I agree with you that whatever the reason is, things still happens. And we should all be conscious and prepared for its consequences.

Yes I know. But I think it is only human nature that you would try to control everything that may happened to us even though some of it cannot be controlled. We try to tend to overcome the things that may result into sorrow.. Although we know what we tried to do is futile.

I agree, everything happens for a reason, even though we might not understand it at the point of time. As we think back or reflect on our past, we will be able to understand them better. Things happen to allow us to learn, let it be an experience for us. Even if we don't learn, at least we have a certain hestitation before proceeding. If those happenings didn't happen, what reason is there to hold us back or move on then?

SO the reason things has happened is for us to learn. Thank you for your insight

There is a reason for everything. God has created us. So we just have to do according to human nature. mainly we expect good, we will get bad, why?

I think for me it is good that I look at why things happened and for what reasons. This allows me to reassess and perhaps not cause the same mistakes. There are times I do try and say that things do happen for a reason, while sometimes I can't understand what the reasons are. But looking back after sometime thee are times that the reasons become clear. Justifying sometimes is good as this will give us a chance to realize if the reasons themselves where for the right and or wrong reasons.

So basically, we can earn from the things that happens in our life. And for you, all things happens for a reason and not that they happened because we have done something to make it happens (even without knowing it). Thank you for your comment.

But what about the things that happens to you because you have made a wrong decision. Would you still consider it as "things that happened for a reason"?

This is so evident in a thinker placard 'I think, Therefore I'm Dangerous', meaning human mind is set to change every situation that appear unfavorable just to make an escape route out. If mistakes are converted into 'happenings for a reason' then what do you think is left for this word- mistake?
I think people should be countable for there misdeeds other than to blame fate for anything that happen.

Yes I think you are right. There are times that something really happen for a reason. but not all things happens for a reason, but rather they happened because of a reason. Thank you for your comment.

It's nice for you to put in mind that, really, everything happens for a reason. Otherwise, you will turn lunatic questioning yourself or your fate why such things happen.
