tattoo's.. sexy or shameful?

i'm not even going to pretend, i love tattoo's. they are sexy, hot, alluring, art for the canvas that is the human body! i have 10 tattoo's now and i complete adore them all! i think tattoo's can be amazing works of art. i know some tattoo's are rubbish and stupud and ugly, but at one point they meant something to the person that got them! i have two beautiful swallows on my chest, well sort of front shoulders, with gorgeous colours. purple, turquoise, pinks, yellows. i have hebrew writing around my arm from song of songs which translates to "i am to my beloved, what my beloved is to me" thats just black.. above that i have this beautiful heart shaped lock, with a log of detail and flowers round it, with a broken link.. and my partner has a beautiful ornate key with the rest of the broken link. the heart lock has red, yellow, purple, and greens. i have a stunning lotus flower on my wrist in purples and yellows. ihave a gorgeous weim dragon on my right shoulder and a teeny tiny little star on my left. i have a ballerina tie up style bow on my foots, and i have carpe diem accross my left hip, and a tribal symbol for freedom on my right which i got on my 18th birthday.. i just adore tattoo's and their stories. my partner has tattoo's too :) .. does anyone else have tattoo's? please tell me what you have :)

i don't have tattoos but i want one! i think if put in the right spot and if you get the right thinng then tattoos are fabulous. they tell stories about you and what youve been through. i am getting one for my birthday on my wrist saying defying gravity :)

A tattoo is seen through different perspective, and as you said means different to each individual. But to be honest, I don't really care if it looks ugly to some, because the tattoo symbolizes something for me.

i agree, thats why my swallows mean so much to me, that you can see in the picture i uploaded. i love swallows, always have, i have clothes, and jewellery, and bags, and shoes, with swallows all over them, and the tattoo's are something i wanted for years and saved up for. they mean so much to me and synbolise so many different things in my life. i adore them :)

I dont think tattoo looks sexy. For me, tattoo makes your skin messy. Here in our country Tattoo looks like your you have gone to jail or exconvict. I dont think its nice to have one.

well i suppose i can see where you're coming from. different cultures view different things in different ways. in my culture, a tattoo is like a right of passage. turn 18, get a tattoo.. my swallows, that you can see in the picture, mean a great deal to me, because of various things that happened in my lif around the time i decided to get them.. and i was not in jail lol!

For me it's really depend on the design. Some tattoo are nice and pretty to look at, others are scary. One example of tattoo that i like is the one on Mike Tyson's face. Even Mike Tyson is a scary person, i love the tattoo on his face. I don't like tattoo that look like a yakuza member which cover entire body. I don't have a tattoo because my mind change easily so if i see something i like today, tomorrow maybe different.

i don't like tattoo's over everyones bodies either. and i can see where you are coming from about changing your mind. but my swallows, that you can see in the picture i uploaded, are something i adore. i have clothes, and shoes and bags etc with swallows over them, and loads of necklaces too :)
