My twitter friend tweeted me something that I wanted to share with you guys. And here it goes:
If you want to be strong, be yourself. The real strength you have is in the authentic person you are.
Isn't it true? In order for us to be strong, we need to be the real US! Well, I know you guys are broad thinker.. Any interpretations of this quote? Will appreciate it much!

This calls for assertiveness.
What they are really saying is that the person is touchy, so be careful.
They have negative expectations of themselves and others and are seldom disappointed.
They lack confidence.
1. They constantly seek approval and validation from others. Seeking approval is different from seeking a second opinion, which really means consultation.
2. Bragging about themselves is also a sign of lack of confidence.
3. Submissive or timid behavior. These are people who constantly apologize for their existence. They are always putting themselves down, which is different from being humble. Humility comes from confidence whereas putting yourself down comes from lack of it.
A person who lacks confidence cannot be an effective leader. Others sense this lack of confidence, which results in a lack of respect.
4. Lack of assertiveness. People with low self esteem are not willing to stand up for their belief. On the other hand, being unduly aggressive is also a sign of poor self-esteem. Being aggressive in situations that require compassion does not amount to assertiveness.
5. A lack of confidence results in conformist behavior. If everybody is doing it, then so should I. Every day we see people giving in to peer pressure, knowing full well what they are doing could be detrimental yet they do it to be accepted. People with low self-esteem go along to get along. They are looking for outside validation because they lack confidence in themselves.
THIS ALSO CALLS FOR CONFIDENCE BUILDING. THIS has to be done consciously.

Hi ravisivan,
What can I say? You hit the point right!
Honestly, I am that kind of person you've describe. I lack of confidence, I down myself, I have a low esteem. And I hate it being that kind of person. That's why I am trying to be confident more and being strong!
This one serves as my reminder! Thanks!

my lady,
It can be true, but i want to add more.
In this life,we are nothing without God in our lives.
So...GOD is my strength, without my/our GOD, I am sure I will not be here at this moment mylotting.
After all the trials/problems that I've encountered,it is GOD and GOD alone that gives me strength to lived on. (my kids as well)
have a good evening my lady

Hi my lady,
Indeed! Without GOD, all the strengths we have will be useless!
Well, for me.. as of now, after the things I've been through, I need to have faith in GOD, in myself and to those people who loves me and always there through thick and thin! :)
Have a wonderful evening to you! :)

Agree with what our friend jaiho said! We are strong because God is our strength!

Yep, I couldn't agree more to this. All we have to do is to just be ourselves. If people don't accept us then that's their fault, not ours. That's a problem they have to deal with, dealing with other people who are just being themselves. I always look back to where I came from whenever I think I've came too far just to remember my roots because this makes me realize that I still have to be the same person as I was before.

Hi frontvisions,
Indeed! Aside from just being real in ourselves, we also need to remember where we come from in case for us to be more real.
You are right too, if other people can't accept what we are and what we do, then that's their problem not ours! :)

Character is what we are in the dark bunso,we can know our strength in our outmost unexpected events, when we're in the dark..dark would mean problems and challenges. With these, real strength comes out in us but I agree with jaiho,it is not only our power that's why we're strong,it's the power of our Lord!

This quote says it all,I can only agree with that, and I really like people who are themselves with their own preferences, qualities and faults which they don't hide from others.I consider these people to be strong because they're not afraid to show themselves the way they really are, even if being yourself isn't always appreciated in society.

the real strength is from God if we believe only in our own ability that was not really trusted or have a good foundation but if depending in the strength of God absolutely the strength you can gain are unlimited because the strength of God are very strong and powerful without him we can do nothing that is why is better to depend on him believing everyday every minute and second of your life.

That is a really good quote. I'm working on being myself more, and doing things for myself, to better myself. Right now I feel like a ball of stress, but my mind is still working overtime and telling myself that I need to set smaller goals and be proud of what I can accomplish. I need to make atleast $80.00 so that I can buy myself a bike and get around, $80.00 doesn't seem so bad but I have to make all of it online, and so it's stressing me out. I also tend to spend the money I have, and not that I don't spend it on good things, I just need to set my priorities straight...
Anyway I feel like this quote is telling me to untap my strength by being who I am, working for myself, and doing what I can. Maybe it's a way out there interpretation but it's mine.

Hi there cowgirl! :)
WOW, having a goal of $80 is not easy... do you spend your whole time in front of the computer to accomplish that?
Well, its not bad.. You're doing it for your happiness and you deserve to reward yourself somehow! :)
I love your interpretation and it is right! :)
