just this day, i've encountered a very horrifying experience together with my bestfriend and her friend. we were 3 ladies looking for a job. i and my bestfriend were very much frustrated about the result of one of jobs we applied to. it was sort of typing/encoding exam. we were applying as call center agents and the exam that we took was accuracy and speed in encoding. we didn't pass. that's a bomber. hmmm. we were very much close to achieving the passing rate but unfortunately we didn't succeed. then after that, my bestfriend sort of contacted one of her friend's boyfriend who is working in a call center agency. he told her that the interview and examination for qualifying there is pretty much easy. so the 3 of us were encouraged to try to apply to this certain call center. my bestfriend told her guy friend that we will meet at around 7pm. i thought that that was too late to conduct a interview, but i didn't mind at all. what was important is that we have another chance of getting a job =) we waited for this guy friend for about 2 hours. we were so tired of waiting for him which nearly pissed me off but i controlled myself. hehe. then he came! at last! we went with him to his workplace - the call center where he works. as we stop by, we found ourselves in a sort of apartment with 5 floors. i thought "is this it?!!!" we walked upstairs and saw that most of the guys there smoke. then we reached the top floor and found out a computer shop. what the hell was that, a computer shop in the day, then becomes a call center at night. the lady there said, "what are you applying for??! call center agents?? the interview will start at 10.30pm, if you are willing to wait then go ahead" i looked at my bestfriend and send a message via eye contact that there's no way i'm going to continue the interview. then her friend said that we were willing to wait. "WHAT THE....!" i have no choice, they already set an appointment that we were going to have the interview be conducted that night too. we have 2 hours to wait and i told them to have dinner first. i asked them if they were really serious about getting back there. it's creepy. there were even clothes hanging in the rooms - a literal apartment that is. there were even no banner or anything that has the company's name on it. it's a computer shop! not a call center agency. it's like illegal to even look at. well, to cut the story short, we decided not to continue. we went home eventually. we think that that's not a type of company we would find ourselves to begin with. well, i realized that there could be better job and place for us to work.. what an experience. at least we know now that call centers like that exist..
