Thanksgiving without the Turkey?

Yes, that is pretty much the consensus among vegans and vegetarians, I think its different certainly thinking outside of the stuffing box. So how will turkey day be without the turkey? Well lets see, you could go out to eat, or have it catered or cook a nice healthy meatless dish with plenty of mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, cornbread, sweet yams or pumpkin pie. All sounds good and dandy but I'll take the meat any day!

I do not like turkey very much and as you can have turkey all year around I do not make it a traditional meat for Thanksgiving or Christmas. I do not like cranberry sauce with turkey anyway.
I will cook a roast of meat that we have not had for a while like pork, lamb or beef.
