This is kinda bizarre. I mean I find it comical even. I suppose for the two ladies involved though, it's not so funny.
There this guy here in Florida who has two wives. They all live in the same town. The first wife wants to press charges against him for bigamy. The husband was arrested and then released on bond. The charges were eventually dropped. The state said the second marriage took place in another state so they were not at odds to press the charges against him. It was not in their jurisdiction. They did forward a copy of the initial marriage license to Nevada for their own investigation.
Do you think this guy should be prosecuted? I think the first wife whom he's not with anymore is just angry and wants to create some chaos in the man's life. I think it's over and she should just move on. What good is pressing charges on him going to do. It won't make him be with her.

No , he isn't coming back but nailing him to the wall will ease her pain. It is called revenge!

LOL! I almost don't know what to say. I am literally laughing at this response. I don't do revenge EVER. I think people that live this way and follow this type of guidance are they themselves miserable. I don't have the time to go around trying to make someone else life have trouble. I am too busy making my life grand and wonderful. Who has time for revenge? It's petty, useless, and just plain immature to me. I use to have a boyfriend who like to seek revenge on people for everything. I watched his life always have problems in it. It's karma. That what you send out often returns worse.

hi writergirl I think if you put yourself in the first wife's shoes
yop would not be feeling all comfy cosy about this moronic bigamist.
we should not be judging her as wrong at all as we did live with the jerk and do not know what hell he may have put her through.I hope they do prosecute him to the full extent of the law for the first wife's sakes. it is not her fault hes a horses rear end.Let them
prosecute the idiot as maybe he will not do that again. its not at all funny really.

I sooo agree with you. I am really wondering what is up with those who don't lol. I guess none of them can actually put themselves in the first wife's shoes and consider how she felt as well as considering he was a big fat law breaker.
This is why people continue to break the law - we NEED to have swift and nasty consequences that occur across the board whenever someone breaks the law! Then maybe people would quit doing stupid things like this!

i think a lot depends on whether he knew he was still married and if kids are involved. i think the first wife should just cut her losses and go on to start a new. not much she can do if he dont love her.

If he knew he was still married? I'm pretty sure it's hard to forget that. I mean really. I do agree however, the first wife needs to cut the loss. There is nothing she can really do anyway. She can do some aggravating, but that won't get her anywhere but aggravated herself. I don't mess with my ex and his wife. Too much headache. Plus I don't want him to think I give a **bleep**

If the guy got married again before divorcing from his first wife,it's obvious that he broke the law and he has to pay for it,he can't go away unpunished. What's going to happen next, will he have 3 or 4 wives at the same time?I'm sure he wouldn't mind, but if the law says that a man should only have one wife,he can't do anything about that, maybe convert to another religion and move to a country where such a thing is allowed.

LOL! I don't really think this is allowed in any civilized nation. Some people may disagree but I think that means their nation is not civilized
I think the first wife should nail him to the WALL and prosecute him fully - as much as she legally can, and the second wife should leave his dumb @$$ and he should end up alone with nobody.

As long as she's getting what she needs to take care of any kids involved, and she's not getting robbed out of any money that is rightfully hers, I don't see why she would need to take any action. Of course, it's not so fair to her if she is unable to get married to someone else because they have not ended their marriage, and hopefully they will eventually divorce. I'm sure she has her own set of problems with him, and might not have even known that he was going to get married again. I would have thought they would have been able to do something, but hopefully it would get sorted out. It wasn't very smart on his part, to have created such a mess.

I agree. I do however think that the first wife is somehow attempting to be vindictive. They had broken up. Just no legal divorce. I am sure it will get sorted out. He has since filed for a divorce from the first wife, which is how the charges came into play. I didn't even think they really enforced those laws. But now I know. It is not something I would have gotten myself into I can tell you that.

Bigamy/polygamy is not legal in the state of Florida NOR in the state of Nevada lol. Legally, he should have at least STARTED divorcing the first wife BEFORE marrying the second, regardless of which state the various marriages took place in. Apparently they have all wound up in the same TOWN, which I am finding very hilarious. Not a wise move for the guy, you would think a guy who was playing this game would make sure his two wives NEVER found out about each other.
I believe he SHOULD be prosecuted. Legally, what he did was wrong. This is like saying Scott Peterson had justification for killing Laci and his baby - because he 'didn't want to be with her'. HELLO. People who don't want to be with someone LEAVE. If they are just together, they TERMINATE THE RELATIONSHIP. They move out. If they are married, they separate and file for divorce. DUH. I have no idea what would possess this guy to continue a sham marriage and then marry someone ELSE and then be stupid enough to allow each of them to find out about each other.
I think the first wife is justified. I think the second wife is oblivious and stupid for seeing that he cheated on SOMEONE ELSE FOR HER and accepting that as normal. He should end up with NOBODY, that is what he is worth. Total a-hole.

I think as per law mommyboo is right and his wife also has the right to knock the door of law.

Did this guy never bother to divorce his wife before he married another woman? If not did he have this all planned out to have two wives, even though he was with wife number two and not anymore with wife Number 1? This sounds just to crazy! Of course what he did was wrong. He should not be prosecuted if he files for divorce form wife number one. If that can be done.

I think this is common to most men who can afford to support even how many women he wants to be with, but he can not marry another woman unless he is divorced to her first wife first.Maybe the woman wants to get even with her former husband but with no luck.It is clear that the guy don't want her anymore, so she should move on with her life.

I wonder how on earth this guy managed to be married to two different women without them knowing anything about it! Is this true? Did they really have no idea that the other woman existed?? I don't know if its an offense that is truly able to be prosecuted though - I know that bigamy is illegal but really I think there's a problem if the first wife could have had no clue about what was going on! Clearly they didn't have the best relationship.. yes, I think the first wife probably has a right to be angry but there isn't much point in suing the guy, I reckon! Would hate it if this kind of thing ever had to happen to me though!

There's a point! Make him PAY for what he did! Although that's no guarantee he will change his ways, at least he will suffer a consequence for his actions, and I am ALL about that! I think he OWES his first wife for being unfaithful. IF he had simply divorced her or at least STARTED proceedings before he went and got a second wife, maybe I wouldn't feel that he owes her... but being married to two people at the same time? He damn well owes the first one!!
