What in your opinion is the worst job ever?

Hi fellow myLotters! I've watched Dirty Jobs show on Dicovery Channel today. It's a show where the host introduces world's most hard and annoying jobs. There have been many gross jobs, like pest exterminator or meat factory worker. This got me thinking, what would I choose for the worst job ever? Well, I've worked at the meat factory and I must say I survived that one, but I can't imagine myself working as a crime scene cleaner, cause I am bad with seeing much blood.
Here's a question for you: what do you think is the worst job ever? And why so?

I have seen this show. For me the worst job ever which I have done for about a month years back is soliciting for a company. It is hard work, stressful,and its diry because it is all about taking peoples money anyway possible.

Interesting point here. A job actually doesn't have to smell bad or gross you out in some way in order to be called "bad job". Some jobs just conflict with your own views and principles so much that you will rather starve than earn money in that way. Thanks for responding!

Your welcome. I also would not want to be a nurses aid in a retirement home. The idea of cleaning up after people like that just to gross for me. Thats one part of becomming a mom I am not looking forward to. But I still happy about my baby due in October. :)

I was thinking about it too one day. The job of a nurse at a retirement home is nasty but also emotionally hard, because you have to work with people who are very old and many of them have mental disorders, which may make it very hard to communicate with them. The "job" of a mother is a very tough one too, there is lots of unpleasant things: cleaning after the baby, staying awake at night in order to put the baby asleep...not to mention all the difficulties during the pregnancy. But stay strong and let's hope you'll have a nice and healthy little baby this fall! :)

I think there is no worst job if you like what you are doing. So whether you are a garbage collector, janitor, secretary, doctor, nurse, as long as it is decent and you love your job then your job is okay. Actually it is a matter of mind conditioning.

I agree! It's all in your head as they say. If you are able to adjust your mind in a way that you will not pay attention to difficulties and negative sides of a job, any job can be acceptable. But I must admit that there are some jobs which require nerves of steel to work on. Thanks for responding! :)

Yep, that's a good point of view! Even the job of teacher may be worse than anything else for a person who doesn't enjoy it at all! As we've seen from one of the previous responders, she considers a job of cashier absolutely the worst job in the world!
I hope you have (or will have in the future) a job that you fully enjoy so every morning you will go to work with a smile on your face! Thanks for answering, take care!

Good arguments here! Working at slaughterhouse must be emotionally hard, cause you would have to just kill and process the bodies of animals. Nothing beautiful there, always this creepy mess with tons of blood and intestines. That's creepy!
And yeah, cleaning of portable potties isn't a dream job too, but as you said, people can get used to many things, sometimes we just have no other choice but to work at such places, cause money is needed for survival.

i think septic tank cleaning service is one of the worst job. I can't imagine why people want to do that job. Another worst job i read in some blog is called "Flatus Odor Judge" which is basicly smelling other people breath before and after they use a mouthwash..

Good arguments here! I am sure septic tanks may be considered one of the filthiest things on Earth, cause all the scum collected here will ferment and produce terrible smell that will knock you off your feet when you open the tank.
And this other job you've mentioned...that's plain weird for me! It's gross and for me it's hard to imagine why one person should want to do this too. I am sure they have a good explanation for it, but it's still quite freaky for me. Thanks for dropping by!
