If you follow up the latest news, or you might already got a notification from netflix, there will be a 60% increase on their combo package deal, like DVD rentals plus online video streaming. Such price fixed will anger million of subscribers who sign up with Netflix. Although I am not a Netflix customers, my friend who already express his concern and anger toward such policy. As a marketing rule, if you don't like a business, and you think the business no longer has benefit for you, you should leave it. There are many more competitions out there who will treasure your business better. Think about Redbox, blockbuster express, and much more. What do you think of it?

I think they are making a big mistake, I'm one of their customers but I will be leaving soon. 60% increase is ridiculous especially since they already had increase this yr.

Well, I had the one disk at a time with unlimited streaming. Now that they have split them into two different packages, I canceled my dvd in the mail and kept the streaming. I do have an Apple TV device and I would rather watch movies through my TV anyway. Then what I did, I joined RedBox, I don't know if you heard of them. They have these big red box vending type machines all over the place. The movie rentals are only a dollar and you get the movie right then and there. I also have the iPhone app, so that I can reserve one online or on my phone and pick it up at any of the locations. I figure, I get unlimited streaming to my TV and if I really want to watch a movie that is not on NetFlix, I just go to my RedBox.

Meh.... whatever. It's not the first time they've changed the pricing. When I first opened my account it was for three DVDs out at a time, unlimited rentals for $14.99 a month...and then that went up to $19.99. I currently have unlimited streaming and one DVD out at a time, unlimited for $9.99 and that's going up to $15.99 BUT I've had the DVD I have now since February so I am going to probably drop back to the unlimited streaming only package, which is only $7.99. So I am actually going to benefit from it.

I was thinking about trying Netflix, but now I'm not going to bother. I don't want to get pulled into a monthly subscription. I rent movies from redbox and iTunes when the mood strikes. If I got Netflix I'd probably waste loads more time watching stuff I didn't really want to see. I'll save money and time not bothering with them.
