Why Me!?

My mom thinks I stole her new socks, I told her already, that I didnt take her socks, because I dont wear socks in the summer, and I dont go to sleep with socks because its just very uncomfortable.
She is blaming me, when she can blame someone else like my son (which lies alot) and my brother, they both wear socks in the summer (of course their boys, they dont wear flip flops like girls)
So she thinks that I took them, and If I dont confess we're not going to Myrtle Beach :( we're going there as a family group.
She gets mad over socks....OMG!
Why me!

this happens to me all the time. my mom thinks i actually want to wear her stuff, when in realityi would rather wear rags. sshe always tries to get me to confess, i just tell her yeah i wore it and tell her i threw them in the wash. she thinks that she 'gets through to me' when she makes me confess but i really am lying. my advice is to just tell her you did it, she will then allow you to go to myrtle beach.

Hi, Lxandra79. Oh, that is the most silliest thing that I have ever heard of! Your mom really should chill out! Maybe she just misplaced her own socks, or your son, or your brother may have them. It is not nice to blame someone when you don't have factual evidence against them. I hope that she finds her socks, because going to Myrtle Beach would be a great family trip for you all. Oh and by the way, I have went to Myrtle Beach so many of times before with my family. I live in Sumter, South Carolina, so you may be not so far from me.

Wow reading this made me laugh. Your mom is going way overboard, and actually sounds like my mom. My mom blames everything on me because I make a face when she asks me if I did something, and really im ready to laugh...
Anyways sounds like you and your mom don't have to great of a relationship. If the vacation means a lot just say, "Okay I took the socks" and get it over with. It would save an awesome vacation. But if she didn't threaten to take anything away than I would be defending my butt all the way.
Oh ya and when/if you say you took the socks say it in a way sounding like you lying, using some eye rolling. Thats the technique I use confessing to stuff I didn't do. Hope it works out for you!! :)

Awwh I hope she does not cancel the trip. Maybe the socks are misplaced and you all can find them. Hopefully she will understand and believe you and you all can enjoy the fun trip to Myrtle beach.

Seriosly? All that for socks? O.o
Ok I symphatize with you but I'm going to try to put myself in your mother's shoes. Can it be that she's just feeling hormonal right now? Is she at the age of menopause; could she be experiencing hot flashes? That might make her cranky. Or maybe she's experiencing PMS? Maybe she's just having an extremely bad day...you know the kind where nothing seems to go right, and she just lashed out on you.
I guess all you can do now is either stay out of her way for a while or help her find those errrr...very important socks.

Hmm, that sounds very odd. Over a pair of socks? Well I guess all you can do is just tell her that it wasn't you and let it be, if she doesn't believe you that's her perrogative. that's just the way I feel about it.

Hihihi... Your story's quite funny Lxandra. I hope your mom believes you and that someone finally confesses of this most heinous crime of sock-napping.
Kidding aside though, I hope you guys would still go to the beach and have fun despite what's happening at home.

I pray that you and your mom resolve this issue and there is true reconciliation between you and your mom. It is a bad situation when someone falsely accuse you for something that you did not do.
