blocking pop-ups in IE 8

hi mylloters i have a question i want to stop pop-ups in IE8 , i don't use IE8 mutch so i would like to stop all windows from IE8 almost 99 procent off them, do u know a programm that stops pop-ups from IE8 the build in po-up stopper don't allow me to add banned site's only approved site's. thanx in advance

Well i think there is a option in IE8 to stop the pop-ups.. Go to Tools option which is present on a toolbar on the right side.. In that there is an option to Switch on the pop-up blocker.. Also if you have a antivirus program installed in your pc then there must be a inbuilt Firewall option which can help you in blocking sites..

the IE pop-up blocker only allows me to add safe site's and not add site's i want to block i used to have a programm that could do that butt i lost it
