Afghan hound

I have a new puppy! its an afghan hound. her full name is Jammilah Joomah min-el-mariq, but we call her jayanthie. isn't she adorable? we are even thinking of buying another one. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/163/p100549g.jpg/

Hello Popular and welcome to myLot! Is your little puppy the reason why you're here? I love Afgan Hounds! They're so elegant and so distinguished! I also think you choose a long name for her. Considering they are fast dogs, she will be at the other side of the park by the time you finish to pronounce her full name. Maybe you can shorten it a little more. Is she your first dog?

No, I wasn't talking about min-el-mariq. I knew it is her kennel name. I was talking about Jayanthie. It sounds long to me. I knew a dog's name should be short, no longer than two syllables. Is she red like most of min-el-mariq offspring? I can't see the picture from your link. Maybe you upload some photos of her into your profile.

ah, you know the min-el-mariqs :D, she is indeed red/orange alike with a black mask. we didn't want a basic name, cause in our eyes it doesn't really fit these dogs. so we went on a afghan name site, and we found the name Jayanthie there. she barely listens to her name yet. its a shame to hear about your friend there )= what kind of dog is that? and try this link: http://imageschack.us/photo/my-images/339/p1000548n.jpg/

thanks, and no it isn't really the reason i joined myLot, i just needed to post something about this cute baby :p, and we didn't choose the name. min-el-mariq means: from the east, its her family name.

Wow! Your puppy sure has a long name. Hehehe.. I think she's adorable too. I think it would be fun to fashion and doll her up. Put some girly ribbons on her and stuff.

there are actually show contests for these dogs :P, but this is one is more bred for the running, they run around 50km/h!
