Philippines is where I startd to buld everything--my culture, my beliefs, my dreams, my grievances. Philippines I know is greatly rich in natural resources presenting us a warm blue color of the sea and relaxing green of trees and mountains. What happened? was this a fault of the government? the politicians? the political system? or Filipino themselves?
When I was young, i dreamt to be the President of my home land but now I grew older, I never imagined a single glimpse even at the most possible least position. I am not generalizing and stereotyping at this point, but I've seen how politicians and politics go. A billion worth bridge comes out with millions of budget; a road for cement reconstruction turns out to asphalt reconstruction. where are the other millions go? To "their" pocket or bank accounts maybe. I wish politicians can stand behind their shadow so they can see how does their shadow look like--- BLACK and DARK
you can send me any kind of opinion:) I will greatly appreciate:)

If Phillippine has wide spread of poverty among its population, then it is the government officials that the people elected into the parliament are to blame for the situation. Overall, government is responsible for a failed economies policy of a nation that lead to the rise in poverty among the people. If that is the case, it is time for Filipino to elect a new government instead of continue to support the present incompetent government.

I am sure you can say that the ignorance of your fellow Filipinos also is a factor contributed to the high poverty rate among many of your country men and women in reality. Their indifferent to the people they voted into the various office in the government perpetuate the longevity of incompetent and corrupt politician in power.

The economic prosperity or failure of any nations rest on the leader who lead and govern the particular nation. Many politicians are fighting to become candidates and aspire to become the president of a country as all powers will be under the control of the president. It is to some politicians, being president of a country is the gateway to richness. He is the keeper of the nation's finance. It is therefore important to vote for the right presidential candidate who is competent in handling domestic and foreign affairs and can bring the economic affairs of the nation to a greater height and share equally the revenue of the country to all her citizens. A country that is plagued by corrupt politicians is doomed and the citizens remain poor forever. This is happening everywhere especially in third world countries where politicians are the big sharks!

How about the billions owed from US and other country? can we say that it isn't that easy to handle by the newly elected president, when past presidents who had finished years of terms have done nothing about it?
