Most of us at some stage in our life try to control our weight and also try to keep it steady at the required limit. It is a well known fact that increased weight can cause havoc with our general health paving way to much more serious conditions like cholestrol and heart problems. But, at the same time reducing weight and keeping it at a steady level is one of the most difficult tasks and most individuals try everything possible to do this with little success !
Taking everything into consideration it is far better to lose weight gradually in the most natural manner than by vigorous workouts and end up with sagging skin and the fear of gaining back the weight , in a matter of short time..
Personally speaking I feel that drinking more water helps,so also regular exercise or walking and controlling our diet...
Friends please share your own experiences and share some tips on reducing weight which would be helpful for others trying to lose unwanted kilos...

Hello Kiran ji, I know deep breathing and other breathing exercise is much useful for me, it wants only 15 minute a day. But I cannot spare time for these. I don't like eating some thing whole day, my diet is too much light. I don't drink tea several time. I like fluids. Some time I drink only vegetable juice once in a day. I am spending whole day on chair it is a problem with me. Thanks for your tips.

I agree with lampar and so to other members. small frequent feeding is very helpful. Plus, you lessen eating caloric and high carbohydrate intake. Your carbohydrate and calories are essential in building your adipose or fats. Increase fluid intake as well. Exercise, suggested by some medical and health-related books I've read say that 30-minute exercise for 5-7 days a week should be done depending how intense the exercise would be. We should also consider that physical activity is commonly used interchangeably with exercise. Exercise is a planned and done in a regular basis whereas your physical activity like doing household chores is different but would greatly help. In losing weight, you do not have to do it abruptly considering its possible health problem effects. 1-2 pounds is the normal weight loss in a week. I hope this may help the mylot community:)

Hi kiran, are you worried for your gaining weight? In certain stage of age humans become some extent fatty. Does not looks bad. I don't like a slim aged person. Some flesh make personality. However if you want to remain fit then take balanced diet and do some physical works. Avoid red meat and eat more fruits. If you are a vegetarian you can drink milk but not more than a glass in a day. Don't worry my dear friend.

Hi bhanu, thanks a lot for your response. No I am not bothered about gaining weight, I guess I am fine as I am, neither too slim nor too fat.I am vegetarian but eat plenty of fish almost every day and love fruits and do a lot of work at home, outside in my school and also in my garden and lol I am not worried. This is just a discussion that I thought would be helpful for everyone, nothing personal!

Don't do anything drastic. Do it little by little and the easiest way to do it is paying attention to what you put in your mouth. First, cut off by half your soda intake. After a week or so, you can totally skip sodas. Then after you have given up sodas, limit the amount of food you eat. For your exercise, try walking short distances first, then you can lengthen the mileage every other day. Exercise and a little dieting should make you lose weight little by little. Sustain that discipline and if possible increase your exercise time and decrease some more your food intake, and you will have a sexier and healthier you.

Hi Cutie,I too firmly believe that any weight loss should be slow and steady !Ideally one should not lose more than 2-3 pounds a month. This way it may take 4-6 months to reach your target, but it is better that way.I have seen people looking haggard and full of wrinkles and sagging skin when they have gone in for a drastic weight reduction program - all the best and enjoy your evening

to loose the heavy weight,
Do exercise regularly,

These are the universal points.

Hi Kiran!
To reduce our weight, we can go on ‘fast’ for one day and it will surely help. Also, if possible, one can remain on fruit diet for the entire one day in a week. Walking once or twice in a day for half an hour does help us control our weight.

Losing weight is not as difficult as many people may think, my secret of losing weight and keep it off is to eat less in smaller portion with less frequency, have a regular exercise program and stick with it. It is as simple as that without the needs to enroll in expensive training program or exclusive club gym membership or buying all sorts of diet pills to change your biological and chemistry make up. All you need is a strong wills to see your weight reduction plan go through and stay with it.

Jogging.. and the best time for it is 20 minutes before up to 30 minutes after sunrise. The sudden change in temperature that you will experience during that time will burn more calories than any time of the day.
And also, three 10 minute jogging is more effective than a single 30 minute one..

Hi Kingof Dex, thanks a lot for your response Jogging is no doubt an excellent thing to do to lose weight, but not everyone is able to do it especially older people. However, I agree with your views that it is indeed very effective - all the best and have a nice weekend
