yeah, i did that with my latest dog. A pure white Yorkie mix with black nose and eyes. We got her as a puppy and when she looked at us and waggled her little tail she was so cute. So she was stuck with the name "Cutie." Fit her well I think. Before that I got a puppy of a Bull mastiff German Shepard mixed. First day he got home he took over the house. Sort of saying "Hey Buster Move over" lol. So we gave him the name buster.

Tell us more about your new dog. What does he look like? How big is he? Or how big will he become? We need more information to help with naming.

What kind of dog is it? What does he look like?
You can name him based on his appearance, or you can wait until you've had him for a couple days and figure out what name fits his personality.
When we rescued our lab mix from the street we didn't have a name for him for a couple days. Finally, I came up with 'Sam' and that was the one that was picked. I just thought Sam was a good, strong name for a large black lab mix.

Once you get the dog and have it for a little while you will find a name. Early on the dog doesn't care as long as there is food treat after being called.
