I have an Indian complexion. But I find whenever I use a base make up I look darker. To be more presice I have mid-fair complexion in my face.I dont know wheather I use the base make up for my face is not exactly of my complexion type or there is some problem in mixing the make up base with slight moistureizor. I have dry skin. That's why I use a moistureizer. After the base make up I use a compact. Then I use eye shadow. Can someone tell me what is the exact process of make up?

You should choose a foundation that is the best match for your skin tone. You can ask the sales associate at the store to help you determine the best foundation match for your skin tone. If you are acidic, you should choose a foundation that is darker than your skin tone because it can get lighter after a few hours or so. You can try MAC cosmetics. They have a wide range of shades that will suit your mid-fair complexion.
If you have dry skin, you should refrain from using powder foundation because it will only highlight the rough patches on your skin. The best type of foundation that you should use is liquid. Before you apply the foundation on your face, you have to make sure that the moisturizer is dry completely. You should set the liquid foundation then with a loose powder.

You got dry skin so you have to use plain moisturizer first and then use a moisturizing foundation. Before you buy foundation make sure that its in your skin color. Don't ever buy a foundation that has the same color as your skin. Choose a foundation that is one shade lighter than your complexion.

Let the moisturizer to dry first before applying foundation. Choose a shade of foundation that is one shade lighter than your skin color. Don't put too much because it will only makes the wrinkles visible if there are any. Them pat with translucent powder since it veils but does not cover applying right amount on the T zone and less under the eyes and lids. Then apply on the rest of the make up and use your press powder for touch ups.

what is T zone? Is the press powder is the compact or the face powder?
