I wish I could go back to the old facebook chat format

I wish I could go back to the old facebook chat format. Facebook made this drastic change on the chat format. I'm still trying to get used to this however I still find the old format more user friendly. What is the advantage of this format compared to the old one? Is it because you can search for specific people? I don't think that it is really that much helpful.

I have a few friends who are frustrated over this new chat platform, too in Facebook. As for me, I don't see any much of a difference. Or maybe that's because I don't use the chat application often? 
Still, it doesn't really affect my chatting with friends. I can still go offline whenever I want to. And I see my online friends when I get online. I don't use much of the search box because for me, what I see is what I get. ^^ I don't bother to search for people. And it wouldn't really matter if my friends would see me on the chat list or not because I will still receive their message in my inbox.

You don't see people who are currently online in the new chat platform??

Hi secretbear! I use the facebook most of the time. In my case, I really prefer to see people who are currently online. I don't want to manually check for them. It makes perfect sense that they can just send a message or I can just send them a message. But sometimes, I really need real time answer.

I hate the new chat! I was trying to find a way to change it back today but I didn't have any luck. It is so stupid. I guess it is supposed to be the people you interact with the most. It was much easier when it just showed the people that were online at the time. I hope they decide to change it back.

Yes it is much easier if it will just show all of the people who are online. That is all I need to know in my chat, those people who are online. Offline members are appearing as well, I hope they can return it to the original format.

I like the old one too, because this one does not show all the members that are online.It only show the person who you talk with most,and if you send a message to someone who is offline it appears in your inbox.
I wish i could go back to the old chat too,but am still trying to get acquainted with the new chat.

That is exactly my problem as well. The new format doesn't show all of the members who are currently online. Also those who are offline are appearing as well which I really don't need.

Hi Chiwasaki, I was feeling the same two days before. I see facebook does changes every time and now. And when i was about to chat the next day, it was not user friendly or rather i doesn't find it comfortable. They should have option to use either old or new accordingly. Cheers!

I agree with that. I think some member will find this new format annoying while some will consider it more convenient. They should have an option whether they like the new format instead of the old ones. I think that will be more convenient to all.

The new one is specifically designed to be for people who consistently talk to certain people. It also works a bit faster, and is certainly more reliable and less screwy then the old one. But I can defiantely say I like the old format better, it was so much easier to use.

I still prefer the old format than the new one. But I guess other members will also like this new version of chat. I hope they can create an option whether the members wants to change format back to the old one.
